My point was, you can't judge a cake flavour competition without tasting it can you? It may well be a cheap store and one is priced 1.99 and the other is 14.99 but tastes amazing. You still can't judge the taste of the cake without trying it, can you?

I don't know what it was judged on, if you read my posts you will see I can't see many reasons they would have got it.

So you agree with what most are saying then whilst defending the situation of the award :thinking about:

Here is an email a Coventry fan received from the football league about the award.

I can see at least two of the criteria it should have failed.

I'm confused by that, the club shop was a trailer?

Its the same e-mail I had, it shows that it is, as most thought, a further insult. "The Journey to the match" "stadium vicinity" "first impression and buying tickets" "the club shop" "inside the stadium" all of these "touchpoints" have significantly deteriorated as a result of our move from the Ricoh, and yet we won an award which the club celebrate. We truly are a joke.

Interesting thing about that email is it makes no mention of things such as the JSBs. There were some who were saying the club receiving this award shouldn't be criticised as it was really for the volunteers etc who help out with that side of thing but it seems that has nothing to do with it. If anything after seeing that email I'm more confused as to how the club has reached the criteria especially when added to the football leagues comments that "“The Football League Family Excellence Award gives clubs a standard to aspire to when planning their efforts to attract more families and young fans to their matches".

Have we ever 'won' this award before? If not then why, because if Sisu/Otium had tried as hard at the Ricoh then would this have had a positive effect on the next generation coming through the gates?

How random is that? Not too bothered in terms of our situation, just a minor dribble in an ocean of piss, but I do think it's another damning indictment of how out of touch the governing body of our sport is with "real fans" as they say.

How these chancers are allowed to run such an important part of our national identity is beyond me. The sooner the Media, Culture, Sports, Tiddleywinks or whatever department pulls their finger out the better IMO.

Why Nick? Isn't it just an example of how out of touch these people are with fans. They set up these schemes to make it look like they are doing something but really are doing nothing.

That is why fans are loosing interest. I am not talking Coventry City here I am talking football fans. Attendances have been on the decline since the sixties.

I don't think anybody feels like an award, which suggests an achievement based on a set of values or criteria.

Our current situation makes a mockery of the scheme.

Yes I am sure some of the people involved have tried as best they can given our circumstances and I am sure kids have had enjoyable experiences. But we can't deliver the criteria in our current situation and to give us an award is an insult to fans and the frustrating and upsetting situation we are in.

My point was also why we got it even if the fact we had moved was ignored. What's it for?

The FL are a disgrace.
They have colluded with Sisu in order to fulfil fixtures by waiving the rules/guidelines.
And now this!
Insult to injury.

Going from an e-mail that was posted on here, they sent two families along and asked both if they'd want to go back again. If both gave positive recommendations the club gets the award.

Not exactly a thorough process considering over half of FL clubs got it.

All the Football governing bodies are corrupt, unfit for purpose and contradictory. Yesterday the FA said Scudamore's sexist comments is a closed matter.
We are led by clowns or liars, take your pick.

Both. And the FL and FA are not much better.
