Derby had 3 shots all game. They were as bad as we were. Neither side deserved the win.

If you can't see the value in a player that does not stop running and pressing then that's on you.

Granted the whole performance was poor but please tell me what BTA contributed last night . He just isn't good enough.

I feel like player wise we have another gear. Plymouth are poor and whilst I like Rooney I don’t think he is the man to keep them up.

Derby are a limited side who have just been promoted and are similar too how we operated. I think they’ll stay up, I just think we’ve got more about us on our day

They were defending a lead and could just sit back in numbers.
They came with a plan and it worked.
We didn't have a plan.

To be fair he can’t use his pace which is his best asset when we didn’t play any through balls at all.

We were fair too safe and slow as we for some reason expected them to press us (Thomas looked bewilder twice that they didn’t want to win the ball from the CB on the half way line) which means neither Wright or BTA could use there best asset. Shame simms was injured as feel he would of got a header in that last thirty.

Easy to discount but Derby reminded me of how we use to be a couple of seasons back. Strong in defence, well organised and quick on the transition. Think they’ll be fine this year

Utterly bloody typical that life stopped me from watching the two games where we were good, and put me right in my seat at the CBS for our return to being shit.

I wrote up so many words on topics that have doubtlessly already been covered - I love Sakamoto but he isn't a 10 and we should have abandoned the plan to play through him in the middle about 68 minutes before we did, Bobby Thomas yet again failed to play to the whistle and concentrated on complaining about on offside rather than stopping an attack, we ran around like headless chickens whereas Derby were well-drilled and confident - but it can be summed up with: I am sick and fucking tired of losing to shit teams at home.

We had several opportunities to score. Wright should've done far better with both of his headers and with the snapshot on the turn - probably should've laid it off to Sakamoto really.

Despite sitting back in numbers I wouldn't even say they even defended that well, there was just zero movement by our players so we made it incredibly easy for them.

'Our day' is interesting for this team.
What sparks us into playing with tempo?
Wright being on it and in the mood playing on the left?
Saka playing in front of MVE, cutting in with crosses and shots?
They're the only real sparks in the team I think.
Otherwise it's reacting to being in the relegation zone or like which is a bit sad. It would be better if they were really motivated to get on the top 6!

‘These players need to realize this league is unforgiving and they haven’t cracked it’

It’s like last night they just turned up and thought they could roll over derby

not good enough to just turn up when they want to.

the fans can do no more, 22,500 st sales everyone’s buying merchandise and everyone involved in on the pitch matters aren’t living up to their side of the deal

Those two wins and the 3 game unbeaten streak, have earned him more time as far as I am concerned.

Tonight was a disaster, but it all came down to an awful mistake and a heavy deflection.

He deserves more time. He's earned it.
As I said earlier, I think that without that Rudoni suicide pass and gift, I believe we would have gone on to win that game.

I think if you’re going to look at the root issue you have to accept things like last night will happen but you have to do better and deal with the situation. There will always be mistakes, bad decisions etc. Our problem seems to be once these things happen we don’t have the self confidence, grit, whatever you want to say to pull our socks up and fight our way out of the situation.

There’s an argument there’s not a plan B but not sure it’s true. We changed formation and made subs last night.

Equally as infuriating is the throw in situation. Can't remember who was taking it but there was absolutely no movement whatsoever and thought he was just going to throw to a derby player out of frustration.

This is from a few pages back but is driving me utterly insane. How are we so bad at throw-ins? Whoever is taking it, the other players stand there staring at them like they've just grown antlers

But that feeds into it doesn't it. It's not a distraction.

Offside means it remains as 1 nil. Not given, results in 2 nil and a mountain to climb.

These small things can be massive.

They broke forward and put Rudoni under pressure. That was the plan sit back and break occasionally. It worked.

Yeah it does but it still happened and shows how impactful the second goal was on the result.

Did they look like scoring? Dovin had nothing to do all night.

Bottom line in all this is, we gifted them a goal and the second was a horrible deflection from a player who was offside.

Derby came here for the draw, in the hope they would get a chance to sneak a win.

Talking about us finishing below Derby or Plymouth is idiotic. You could see last night that talent wise were head and shoulders above them. We played shit but should still have got something out of the game.

There’s no way we down there, I’m confident even if it got that bad under Robins a change of manager would quickly have us out of trouble.

Mentally and physically weak players, no dirty shithousing bastard like Cashin, no idea how to break through a crap but organised team.
That was some low level shit from us, so King needs to open his fucking eyes and realise we need experience and guts to get us out of this mess.
Watch how Browne plays on Saturday, he’ll be just what we should have got when we had the chance .

In fairness, I liked how Derby scrapped for everything, and ran all night. They might be limited, but I'd like to see some of that spirit in our lot.

There's more than one way to win a game, and I'm with Robins on this, they deserved it. I hope it's a lesson that we learn from.

99 time out of 100, Derby don't win that game.

There is so much one dimensional thinking on this forum, at the moment, about how we should be playing. We weren't smart enough last night with decision making, that's it.

I don’t know if this team or MR knows how to win ugly games. Seems like they are set up to play one way only. The worst aspect of our team is how vulnerable we are at the back. I’d much rather scrape 1-0 wins like Millwall than have to score 3 goals in order to win ( which has happened in all our wins this season). Think this mini revival of ours was yet another false dawn.

Robins got done tactically and the team formation was completely wrong.
Saka and MVE came to life when Saka was moved wide right.
Torp is a much better no 10 where he can pass and shoot.
Wright is much better on the left than down the middle.
Rudi isn't a wing back JDS is.
Why didn't Sheaf or Eccles come and get the ball from Thomas on the half way line when they backed off. Do you expect a centre back to thread a ball through a packed defence or run through?

Spot on, this is why Mark Robins has lost his job, doesn't change things until it's too late, thanks for the memories Mark, all the best for the future.

If he had done the changes at half time we would have won that game, they were throwing everything at us to block us out in the last 15 minutes when we actually did the changes.

After stewing for more than a day over it I am now not sure Yates was offside - when the header's made it looks like Binks might just be playing him on.

Two route-one goals for them, anyway, eh?
