Job done, Burge played well and Davies solid when he came on.

Brilliant. Knew Robins would sort it for today.

Right, time to start drinking again I think.

Biamou works hard, but desperately needs a goal. Seems to be improving.

Sounded a great game with some real football being played. Let's hope we can build on this over Christmas and come out the other side with a nice playoff spot cushion.

15 goals conceded in 22 games.

Always will be there or there abouts with a record of a goal conceded every 1.5 games

If people can't see there is a decent player in McNulty and potential in Biamou, as fans we may as well pack up and go home. This is league2 not Premier League where you have a handful of 18-20 year old world beaters.

Davies, Shipley and Bayliss all promising. Yes they will have bad games but a glimmer of hope. Burge is showing he has character after the unfair battering he got from our so called loyal supporters.

It was a great game. Loved it. That's what football should all be about. Had a bit of everything, even handbags at dawn.

We clearly changed tactics at half time and second half played the ball longer and this then in turn forced Cheltenham to play deeper.

The booing of Vincenti was ridiculous. You can tell some fans come in to games with preconceptions. Yep, he did make a few errors, but the good things he did far outweighed any mistakes.

Really quite amusing to see half the crowd applauding him being substituted and the other half warmly applauding him off.

I was in the latter group.

I get the feeling with Biamou if he could just put one away to get some confidence, then the gates would open.

Seems amazing after some of the shocking results in the league, that we're still in touch of the automatic places, let alone the playoffs.

I do wish we could make life a little easier for ourselves. I know it's not the way this club does things, but I'd be far more relaxed on match days! Let's hope this year bucks the trend of recent ones and we can get a run of form going now.

Al, you are spot on. There are many fans who crucify players, forgetting that we are now in Division 4. It's not that long ago that Stokes and McDonald were the best players in the whole league, then a bad game demotes them to rubbish. Hopefully this result will set us up for a good run, and we can strengthen the squad in January, and get Kelly back pretty sharpish.

Said against Luton I didn't know where I'd play him.

He wins balls in the air, holds it up, creates chances for others. That one where it looked like it was going out but he kept it in and laid it to Duck. The only thing is it's as if his arse falls out when he gets near the goal, when he scores it's either going to be off his arse or a chance where he doesn't have time to think about it and it will be a screamer.

I don't think Vincenti was that bad, he had a better game than Shipley.

Bayliss did better than I expected and had a good game. Fair play to him. We are crying out for a striker. Nobody can say that we didn't have chances today.

We have strikers. Mcnulty and nazon being the best 2 and i think alot of league 2 clubs would like them in their team

I thought Shipley played well too though. Yep, again some errors, but his delivery from dead ball situations was excellent and he did some lovely link up play.

It was an error riddled game, so I don't think anyone was faultless.

Felt sorry for Bayliss. First half was too frenetic for him and he made a few errors in both halves. More than enough promise there though I feel.

We had a lot and there were a few where McNulty clearly should have hit the target. Shame, cos besides his finishing I thought he looked dangerous all game.

Yes McNulty did well. He is starting to do the business now. Just need a striker in the Biamou mould who can actually score a goal or two.

Fun and games at half time.
Fishers bodyguard attacked a City fan while the bloke was holding his daughter in his arms then attacked a 65 year old man.
Just a nasty bully.
Words were exchanged but completey out of order.

didn't see it but the lads who sit behind me were talking about it. I think one of them challenged him.

So did they, but they only put one away. Premier League sometimes one chance and goal. But it is often a boring stalemate. The entertainment today was because the first half was too open. A tactical flaw. It is finding the balance.

to be fair, as welcome as that result was, it papers over a lot of cracks. Having said that, it was a vast improvement on last week.

All teams will, look how many Luton had against us. No team is going to score every chance they get.

The first half was open, it could have been 4-4. I think if we had Davies on from the start we would have done better.

Not if you are aware of the cracks and keep coaching to fix them. Good teams are built from good squads, togetherness. Good teams don't come from managers or fans saying the ones on that side are good and the ones over there are shit.

A vital win for so many reasons , we have problem that everyone who comes to the Ricoh want to play to the stadia and reckon based on recent form they can have us , it’s about time for us to hammer someone . Good result today but work in progress .....

but we still have too many players prepared to shirk responsibility. Hopefully that is symptom of the poor run we've been on and todays 3 points will help remedy ti with improved confidence.

There weren't many hiding today in fairness compared to last week.

Robins keeps alluding to it as well about confidence and players getting hammered, Vincenti gets cheered off sarcastically when he didn't really do much wrong at all. McNulty gets hammered as being awful yet keeps scoring. Biamou granted couldn't score in a brothel but he doesn't really hide during games.

McNults a no bull shite decent player who repeatedly earns his place he could be pinched in Jan which will be a shame if it happens . A present some fans favorite a future all fans fave if we keep him . You know he will do well where ever he goes

Didn't think the cheering for Vincenti going off was was warranted. Bit of a scapegoat in my opinion.

today they weren't hiding I agree, but they do shirk responsibility. The amount of times a ball fell between two players and they'd look at each other rather than attack the ball was incredible.
Still issues but today has really lifted my spirits after last week.
