Think Rudoni might start. I sense Lampard keen to get him back in. Only concern is Simms and lack of cover, he gets a knock early in the game and what options do we have, play a false 9? That would have to be Rudoni I guess, but if he's cooked after 70 minutes, it leaves us with very few options.
Lets not underestimate Charlton.
I hope they still have injury problems at the back which have coincided with their two game collapse. Think Charlton will be fired up after two big losses and a big travelling backing.
Don't think Rudi will be ready for a full game yet and if Tatsu has to go through concussion protocols, we will be light up front.
Coming from L1, they are used to big centre forwards so may cope better with Sims than Middlesborough. Hoping Simms will be good for three games in a week.
Ex Luton manager will probably try to make it a scrap. We can't afford getting yellow cards and a suspension for Ipswich
KKH did well last night when he came on in place if Tats. Tats being fit would be the better option, but if not, im not overly concerned.
What concerns me more is both BTA and Wright being injured with no cover for LW
This is a win all day long right? Expect the unexpected when you least expect it!
But seriously, we should be nailed on here. I hope FL does not get lulled into too many changes for the sake of it.
Rudoni starts for me with Asante injured. Possibly keysler-Haden for Milan to have a break. But again is that changing for the sake of it? Milan is a vital cog with Sako and his long throws are an absolute weapon. If we are leading handsomely after 60 minutes, then I expect all 5 subs to get minutes.
I would have been happy with draws against Stoke and Boro but this is different. I think we'll win. We can't be arrogant or complacent, if the players are fit, we play our strongest team.
The Championship has shown this year that anyone can beat anyone. Not so much us as it's the mentality and effort that has put us where we are. I trust that Lampard and the team won't drop their standards.
I don't want to take too much credit but for the game against Sheffield United, I wore a pair of Cov socks for the first time that were given to me for Christmas. I've worn them the last 4 match days without washing them. Disgusting, yes, but they don't get washed til we drop points.
I actually didn't mind the referee last night. Don't get me wrong, he did make a couple of weird decisions, the one by Torp on the edge of the area in the first half was a shocker, and the one on Kitching by, I want to say, Burgzorg (?), looked soft. But overall I thought he did okay, was consistent, and was nice to see him not flashing yellows all over the place.
