I'm sure I remember that. Was it quite warm and we played some beautiful football? 2-0 or 3-0 win?

I remember the fans singing it’s just like watching Brazil

About to set off from Pompey with my boy who's excited about his first match

Quick question...am I allowed to take a draw string bag in which will carry his gloves, hat, sweets etc or will the stewards get funny about it?

You know you're old when they search a middle aged bloke in front of you and then just wave you through.

Pretty sure you could take a knife in and the stewards wouldn't realise

I wouldn’t have thought they’d get funny about it, hope your boy enjoys his first game! If it is anything like my lads first game he’ll be entertained for the first half, fall asleep for the second and sleep through both of our goals in a 2-0 win!

assume they've copy pasted it from last weeks 12:30 KO and bodged the numbers. Not sure where 3:45 has come from though

I took my 4 year old to her first two games this year, both times with a backpack full of snacks and fruit shoots. All fine!

Really looking forward to lampards first game

I expect 433

Got a feeling we see a massive improvement in sheaf as he just stays deeper and keeps us ticking

Collins
MVE Thomas Binks JDS
Sheaf (6)
Torp (8) Rudoni (8)
Sakamoto Bassette EMC

The above is harsh on Eccles, but if we play two 8’s, I’d like to see Torp and Rudoni starting as they are more creative.

JDS > Bidwell based on fitness.

Bassette > Simms - I’m a big Simms fan but there’s going to be a buzz, excitement and expectation tomorrow. An enthusiastic Bassette performance suits that.

Collins > Dovin - I don’t think FL will see a need to change it, despite Collins having weak hands. Both are probably pretty devoid of confidence.

Attacking performance and 2-0 win would be ideal.

Quoting my own post, but really hope we do play two 8’s and one 6, as opposed to trying to shoehorn a 10 in.

He will probably score today.

Been shite all season and did his bit to help Robins get sacked. No doubt the type to play up for a new manager, so I expect him amongst some other players to perform a bit better.

They might want to have a look inside the bag but shouldn’t be any further issues.

Hope he enjoys it

Not excusing the performances but if it’s true he’s still having injections, we can’t exactly expect his usual performance

I just think a deeper screening position will suit him

He snot v good at shooting and doesn't need to be attackinG the box. He gives the ball away alot too which allows counters when he is high up the pitch

A massive improvement in Sheaf would be for him to reach the heady heights of bang average.

To say he's been disappointing is an understatement.

is 3:45 the time the late entry turnstiles close? Obviously too busy preparing a 'Frank has his first cup of tea' post to pay attention to unimportant stuff like this.

I hope they tell us how it's made. Probably with the tears of people still crying about Robins going.

It did say something about him getting injections. I expect him to have his best game of the season today, simply because Lampard is sitting on the bench.

Hope we win, but won’t credit Lampard for it if we do as I’ll be seen as sweeping previous comments on him under the rug.

It's the perfect excuse.

Plays well enough - he's class. Plays badly - it isn't his fault, he's having injections.

Some people were dropping Eccles out of their lineups for him, which is absolutely mad. We have other players that deserve to be in the squad over Sheaf at the moment. If he genuinely isn't 100% then there's even more of a reason to give other players an opportunity.

Makes more sense than “decided to be shit one day” which is your prevailing theory TBF
