I think we'll get off to a flyer under Frankie Lamps. Convincing 5-0 win, Bassette hat trick, EMC and Sakamoto with the others.

I'm thinking more a 5-2 win. Bassette hat-trick, EMC, Sakamoto, Thomas and Collins with the others.

The fact that we now consider that "disappointing" is a great thing

Sales slightly down on Sheffield United but £30 is a lot easier to throw at a ticket at 1pm tomorrow than £37.

I really don't know what your signature move is, though I suspect it would be banned in 46 states.

We will obviously concede two, so I’m going for a 4-2 win in an entertaining game.

A Just Giving appeal will be set up after the match to raise funds for a FL statue.

Lots of people on the phone in referring to FL as a young manager ,he's 46 that's not young.

Anyone old enough to have played against us in the premier league is no bubba. In fact he must be old enough to remember us winning the FA cup.
He is the same age as Robins was in his second spell and it not like he has nothing on his CV. No rookie but no dinosaur. Probably a good age.

The whole EMC situation is bizarre . Surely he was signed to cover/compete with Wright yet now Wright is injured he isn't starting ?
Recently he's started to show glimpses of the player we all hoped he would become
Speculation here but I remember at the time thinking Wright hadn't really played more than 30 odd games a season and had picked up a couple of niggles pre transfer window. We also needed cover for tats. Obviously Wright then went on to make 50 appearances and loaning him back made the whole transfer pointless but Doug was relatively new at that point, wanted to give the fans something and hindsight is a wonderful thing. We live and learn.

When you get to my age you will realise that 46 is VERY young.

Barely out of childhood

Need to get the CBS back to being a cauldron and intimidating place to come for the opposition. Get some wins in this next block and it’s going to feel positive again.

Back the boys and back the new manager.

PUSB!

Do people really believe that, after two training sessions, FL will choose to change the GK (for example). He may influence the shape of the team but surely will rely on Carr to pick the players.

Pretty much, yeah.

He will have only seen the players briefly. Not many changes I would have thought and definitely will use Carr's input.

I'm sure I remember that. Was it quite warm and we played some beautiful football? 2-0 or 3-0 win?

Exactly, I'm sure his team have gone through all the data with the trackers they all wear. They have so much info, it would be silly to not use it.

I think it will be this but Dasilva in for Bidwell as I don't think he has enough minutes under his belt to start yet.

Just hoping we turn up for this game, frustrating how we blow hot and cold, a consistent balmy from now on thank you very much.
Best of luck to FL and the lads, have the grandchildren over so chances are I might not catch it today.
Collins out, Dovin in. Saka on the right (duh!) and sub JDS as soon as you know Bidders can make the rest of the game. PUSB!!!

Feel like we've been shite against Welsh teams for ages?

Swansea obviously always beat us. Wrexham beat us a few years back. Lost to Cardiff twice last season.

New manager. Dreadful opposition. About 400 depressed managerless souls in the away end who have endured dreadful away form...

Banana skin written all over it from top to bottom.
It's one of those that may not be borne out in the statistics and just this weird feeling us fans get, but it always seems we lose when the away team has a shite following.

I’m betting on a Frankie 4-3-3 thanks to the insight from our resident Evertonian who now has us as his second team @Farmer Jim

Dovin or Collins
MVE / Thomas / Binks / Dasilva
Eccles / Sheaf / Torp
Sakamoto / The Hound / EMC

Feel that team would be somewhat harsh on Rudoni, who has been good last few weeks, and may see him swapped with Torp instead - unsure.

Would also be happy to see Kitching back in.

About to set off from Pompey with my boy who's excited about his first match

Quick question...am I allowed to take a draw string bag in which will carry his gloves, hat, sweets etc or will the stewards get funny about it?
