What do you expect him to say?
'Robins spent all the money on assembling a shit squad and we have no chance for years'?
(That's probably the truth).
But the Chairman has to offload the failed manager and keep it as positive as he can.

He said that he expected 3 plays offs in 5 seasons. He then suddenly changed manager and rationale by saying this squad should be top six. If he gives these random reasonings, he should back it up. He is deluded.

There are still 7/8 teams below us, all with much worse GDs. We will come good.

We ARE in a false position. We should be lower down the table.

Classic King, delay Lampard announcement until an easy home fixture. Build it up as new dawn, start of a new era etc. and then City stink out the arena for 90 minutes

Only positive is another shite team didn't gain any ground on us. Haji Wright plus January window have a lot of heavy lifting to do

Frustrated with that. Again.

We can't go through the rest of the season like this, having to rescue scraps because our defence is far too fragile.

We're not and I thought it was the worst thing Lampard could have said to this lot in his first meeting as it's playing into the idea that it's not their fault. They need to get a fucking grip.

It was bad defending all round.
he’s rash, can’t pass and obviously isn’t a leader. He’s woeful.

The assembled playing squad is the manager's responsibility. Obviously.

There’s no one there who’d risk a boot in the face to win a 50-50 ball.

You say that, we looked clueless all over the pitch. Players had no idea how to advance the ball.

Flashes of positivity in the first half attacking wise, but my god was that second half one of the worst I’ve seen. Absolute fucking dross.

I cant see how you've got thomas in your sights after that if I'm honest , mind you some fans just don't like certain players , like me with joel I don't rate him

Binks for the first was stood still ball watching, as usual he's just not aggressive enough.

The disgrace of the recruitment is that Van Erwijk can put in performances like that, knowing that there is noone to replace him. Collins hopefully will be dropped and Torp to come in for Eccles, who has been very poor since signing a new contract.
Rudoni and Sakamoto started well but faded badly.
Simms shows that he can press at pace when he wants to.

Lucky point really but we’ll take it.

What worries me most is the players attitudes. Was a million miles off the usual “must impress new manager” energy / body language.

We have some winnable games coming up, hopefully a couple of wins and some confidence can change things. PUSB

The second goal I have to say was quite bizarre from us lining up in a back 6 and asking sheaf and Eccles to chase a 40 yard midfield alone until they eventually got space to shoot

Who told them to drop in like that ?

I’ve got both defenders in my sights. They haven’t kept a cleansheet against 11 men for God knows how long. I don’t see how you can’t see the CB pairing is awful.

Just need to stay up this season, then have a big clear out in the summer and rebuild. Back 5 not good enough. Midfield is alright but need another. Front 4 not good enough with the exception of Wright (and Bassette looks a prospect, but a bit raw).

MVE is frustrating me. Has all the tools but not putting it together. We've got to hope Gyokeres moves and that Doug puts his hand in his pocket.

Bassette cannot start the next game. I think Simms has to start ahead of him. Think Dovin has to replace Collins in goal.

I think there's more to it than the 2 in the middle although ofcourse it's a contribution from several areas

I’d start Torp next game and drop Eccles in front of the defence and bench Sheaf.

injured or not he’s totally stunk the place out this year

Imagine asking a near £40 to watch that tho take away Sheaf, Milan, Sakamoto and Wright that's a League 1 side.
