I'm not sure.

From Kitchings point of view an aimless ball goes over his shoulder, chases back, not under huge pressure he's probably gonna do just that. Then he sees his GK coming and he probably thinks "oh jolly nice, I can nod it back to him, what a lovely fellow" but the goalie doesn't stop, he is now out of his area and Kitching is thinking "well where the fuck do I go now and what do I do?".

Before these last 3 games, people were saying be happy with a point from each. We’ve got 3 points from beating Sunderland, so why are we crying about playoffs are gone? We hit the target points we wanted, now we move on to the crunch games that will define where we finish.

I think it's been a big wake-up call, with both Middlesbrough and Bristol overtaking us in the table

This was the table after the Sunderland game

Middlesbrough didn't seem much of a threat at all back then. We were 5 points clear of them, but now they are suddenly a point ahead of us.

Also, it's a bit of a worry, because
previously we were looking at the Middlesbrough v Leeds fixture (game is this coming Tuesday) and thinking that would be a very tough game for Boro, but Leeds have suddenly gone right off the boil and now it's quite rational to think that Middlesbrough will get something out of that game.

I don't think the play-offs have gone, but do think we need a win on Wednesday.

Parker thought the place was bouncing. Says a lot about what he’s experienced atmos wise, because personally I thought it was dead, even before the calamity.

Thought the atmosphere was pretty good tbh, especially with such a small/quiet away crowd. Early goal, competitive game and crap ref always helps.

You’re right but it’s about momentum. A couple of wins led to 9 out of 10. 2 defeats on the spin can do the same but if we bounce back Wednesday then we can point to it being better teams and not form.

Agreed. Beat Sunderland comfortably with our best performance of our season, beaten by Sheff Utd away (expected) and unfortunate to lose against Burnley + ref inc a couple of poor goals conceded

Three points, deserved four. Issue for me is purely the Dovin injury which I think might scupper play off hopes but still well in the mix

Fuckin irony there. Their players were still moaning about our goal five minutes later.

He doesn't have a lot to aim for.
Movement throughout the team is poor and needs addressing.

The Sheff United game really hilighted it for me. The minute they won the ball they had runners all over the shop, (I appreciate they're one of the 3 stand out teams in the league).

He does though. We have all season but the midfield doesn’t look for the switch or the quick ball over the top. Wright EMC and MvE all make runs that could be hit more IMO.

I'll keep an eye out for it Wednesday but I just think we're too passive once we gain possesion.
Though again, I'm comparing it with what I've seen from the top teams so perhaps a little unfair.

Collins was partly to blame for the first but no more than the defenders. Everyone being pulled to the ball, shocking defending.

The 2nd, all on him. I've no idea what he was expecting to do. We know the defence isn't a brick wall and can be prone to mistakes.

When we can be shaky at the back, the last thing the defence needs (or visa versa), is being put under unnecessary pressure.

Only an idiot would look at that league table in your post and say Middlesbrough were out of it because of a 5pt difference

Well here's my two pennies worth, Dovin in goal we would've won the game.

First goal, Dovin would've pounced on the ball and smothered it.

Second goal, Dovin would've said keepers ball and cleared it.

Thought the first goal yesterday was similar to the error Dovin made vs Leeds when Bogle scored tbh

Can't say I care too much about what those troglodytes think of us.

Saw a few coming out, definitely gave off "paid for this ticket with my giro" vibes.

Fair enough, but good goalkeepers learned by their mistakes, Collins will never learn, in my opinion.

That works until next time it happens and you say “FFS why didn’t he just pass to the keeper” 100% Collins at fault. He’s a big boy and he’ll own it.

I remember playing as a defender and conceding a goal similar to that. I was six at the time.

You can count Dovin’s howlers on one hand this season. You can count Collins’ on one hand as well…from Lesta.

Rudoni took the wrong option in going backwards when tats was offering himself in retrospect, but you have confidence that a midfielder can produce a five yard pass that gets to it's target.

If Collins stays in the box then that’s an option. I’ve said Collins is at fault for running out but the ball dropped by Kitching and he should have dealt with it. It’s my opinion.
