Well done lads, can't fault the effort and defended well as a unit. Great goal from Asante.

And why we won’t go down. We’ll pick up results against other midtable sides.

I mean I'm not feeling confident but I don't think our players are that bad and find the disparaging comments about all of them from the usual suspects every week pretty tedious.

Looks to me like that’s a goodbye applause/lap from Lati.

Or he’s just really thankful for the win.

Simms. Phenomenal. Imagine if he put a shift in like that every week. He'd be the best striker in the division.

Good performance second half, were well in control for most of it. Probably Dasilva’s best performance for us. Torp, Kitching, Dovin, Allen and Lati all good too. Simms much more of a presence second half and a great finish from BTA, seemed to grow in confidence after it. Overall, happy with that.

The two upfront works well when we don’t have a great link between defence and attack.

those balls behind the defence for them to chase whilst the other got in the box worked well

Delighted for Dovin getting the clean sheet - another excellent performance. Still find it incredible how this season has played out goalkeeping-wise. I didn't read the pre-match thread as was driving back from skiing and listening to CWR - Rob Gurney said Ben Wilson will be back soon as is expected to be back in goal! Dovin is a huge talent and so pleased that he's ours.

With the back 5 we have, do we need someone sitting in front of the defence and nothing else like sheaf.

A dynamic CM alongside Allen and Torp could be interesting

Good improvement 2nd half & just about deserved the win imo.
No surprise that we look better with our 2 best (available) strikers up top.

Worrying how open we left ourselves, even at 1-0 up though. Indebted to 2 good saves from Dovin again.

Something to build on 🩵

Credit to Binks who was good second half. I slag him off but he defended really well. Lati and Kitching were good too. Lati deploying the dark arts so to speak.

Dovin is looking like the keeper that came to us with a big reputation. Cool under pressure, mostly excellent distribution and his positioning when players go through is excellent. He still needs to work on coming to claim more crosses but he’s miles ahead of those two other clowns

Lampard still hasn't lost at home which was something we really needed to improve, so that's a positive.

Dreadful first half. It must be said that Lampard finds a way to improve the second half performances. I just don’t understand why we’re so poor from the get go.

The line was a bit too high, I get it when you're trying to get hold of the game but once you're ahead you need to drop off. We're not exactly blessed with pace at the back.

Yeah there's more chance of Wilson being released than regularly playing for us again.

Lovely day for me.

City win, Folkestone Invicta beat Canvey Island 4-2 and my missus and her daughter have gone shopping and then on to the cinema, so I have the house to myself.

It doesn't get better than this.

More than happy today. Simms class just needs goal. BTA took his finish well. Allen is a little metronome. Lati looked decent as did Dasilva. Dovin is going to make us a fortune in a few years.

Add EMC and Wright to this team today and we win more comfortably

Loads to be pleased with

I must say I’ve been impressed this second half. The footballs pragmatic without being exciting. That said, we certainly deserve the win. Dovin making 2 excellent saves shouldn’t be forgotten though.

I like the two upfront, I think it’s looked good.

If only Asante could hold onto the ball instead of losing it almost every opportunity though
