The save from the header as well was very good from Rushworth. Dasilva deserves a lot of credit for our goal

Rushworth - every good side needs a great keeper. He got us the win today.
We struggled all game to find our form. So easily could have lost it. Bristol had no right to be in that position yet there we were.
A fortunate win today which can be a sign of a good team having a mid term wobble. So many players not on their game. But a win is a win, we grind it out. Improvement needed tbh.

Millwall and Preston won’t keep up. I’m looking at Ipswich and we are effectively 14 clear of them with our GD

Sorry Frank but this game has not done a lot of good for your managerial credentials, ie late subs & tactics.

Obviously Rushworth gets MotM but DaSilva had a fantastic game at both ends today

Pacman, we did well first half, just didn’t take our chances. We didn’t struggle to find our form, we struggled to find the net.

As you said yourself, Bristol had no right to be in that position but our poor finishing allowed it.

Rushworth so important at the end there and won us the 3 points, but he had little to do in the rest of the match.

When some of our key players are under par, we need others to crank it up. Rushworth, Thomas, DaSilva and Mason-Clark did that today.

The same one you were, but don’t you find find it frustrating when Wright selfishly shoots wide and doesn’t look to pass or shoots wide when scoring is easier? Thankfully he found ENC for the goal. But even against Preston Wright was wasteful. Simms just won Nov player of the month and does a better job than Wright in winning headers and holding up play. Anyway, just glad we won although we made hard work of it.

We are not the only team to lose a bit of form as some of today's results show. It's due to playing 3 games in a week in a large part. We put a lot of effort into the Preston game, and who knows what effect the bug has had.

Made a meal of it but needed the win however it came and that’s what we got. Next block of 5 off to a flyer.

A couple from the Bristol forum.

Enjoy your 12th place trophy, you can put it next to all your other 12th place trophies

And remember, compared to Bristol City, we ARE a massive club

Haven't been on here today, so no idea of sentiment.

I enjoyed it. Frustrating at times but we swamped them in spells ,and at time looked good. Other times a little slow, but Bristol City had a lot of players stifling.

Crossing was poor in the main, but it adds pressure. EMC was great - seemed more direct today than usual and it worked. Sakamoto quiet at times, but his usual industrous self.

Wright was the enigma again. Some of his ball control and turns were sublime, but poor decision making on more than one occasion.

But we won, so who fucking cares?

Well, they have won the Welsh Cup and The Anglo-Scottish Cup, so that basically makes them Champions of Britain, right?
