Surely this is the game we see our strongest XI start. A bit of pressure on us after the last two games and Southampton away looming. Could really do with a win here;

Rushworth
MVE, Thomas, Kitching, Dasilva
Torp, Grimes, Rudoni
Tats, Simms, Wright (or Wright, EMC, or Simms, EMC)

Loads of tickets left (relatively speaking). Could be the lowest attendance of the season depending on how many Bristol have sold.

Category A 2 weeks before Christmas.....

Kitching to be this game’s random missing player.

0-1 Bristol City.

(Think we should win this but they’re a good away side and we looked knackered)

I would stick with Wright up front, even though he has hit a spell of not scoring he carved the defence open several times last night and would probably have scored 2 if he wasn't fouled. One where their player was sent off, and the header when he was flattened by their no. 14. The one he put in the net wasn't his fault it didn't count.

Time to engage bouncebackability mode.

Any news about what's up with MVE yet, we so missed his long throw and not having Bobby in the box for them was a big miss.
Update: In his post match interview Lampard confirmed MVE has a bug & wasn't well, about 3m 26s.

Bristol haven't sold out either and that's with a smaller 2k allocation.

Really poor pricing for a game which should never be Cat A.

The stats don't suggest we were knackered. Possibly 1 or 2 players suffering after effects or minor symptoms of the bug.

MVE came down with illness on Sunday and it sounds like there's the superflu going round. Good that that he got it on Sunday rather than yesterday.

Already worried about the game because I will be worried about us if we don’t get a result. Figure that out for yourselves!

Could do with some of the teams we've got coming up getting hit with the illness than is going around rather than just us.

Or not... we'd want mass illness.

Ours seems to be a sniper approach... take one out per match!

Fair point, I was referencing more for going into the season. But probably BTA in for Rudoni/EMC is the one change

They still have 800 tickets to sell. Boycotting the prices apparently.

It’s a mustn’t lose or draw game.

800 tickets (+ F&B sales) that would have have sold out at £32.

Similarly a lot of empty seats in the home end.

Removing the general anger about prices, the big issue is around the confusing categorising of games. The West Brom and Bristol City games should not be Cat A+ and Cat A.

That old excuse again, average price for tickets in the Championship is £33, and Brizzle website has it down as £30

edit: should have looked at the date (said Jan 2025, ignore me! £40 is steep indeed

Wonder what will happen following the Millwall set to. Pretty sure Knight will get a very long suspension and possibly some other Bristol and Millwall players. Just our luck if the Bristol players can start against us, and are suspended for Ipswich.

If we lose this I'll accept the wobble theory. I don't think we will though. 3-1.
