As Bolo from the Mighty Boosh would say - "I've got a bad feeling about this!"

Yep, me too. Sleep, eat, rave, repeat, or in our case, Huff, puff, cave, replay.

I think we will win comfortably on this one and the usual fans will turn us into world beaters again. 3~1 city.

Which games are live in this round?

Don't see anything better than a replay ... just not creative enough now we've lost Jones and no-one is stepping up ... they will come with a game plan, they have nothing to lose, so will throw everything at us ... at best a replay, more likely 2 v 1 to them ... especially if they go ahead first.

If people are seriously saying we WILL lose or at best for us get a draw, just because JJ is out. Then i suggest they go watch something else for the next 4/5 months!!
Can not understand the mentality imo. WE will win, we still have far too much in our squad for most teams, especially a non league side.
Ponti, Duck and possibly McNulty. 2 or 3 nil.

This could be a good game to get a few of the fringe players in who are looking for a chance.

Their hunger could counteract an otherwise probably average performance.

I can see us slipping up here, but hope we will just edge it. I expect the crowd to be dismal.

Traditionally we have been one of the clubs who have often struggled against lower league opposition and have been knocked out of cups on a number of occasions.

This is Coventry City and already this season we have struggled against inferior opposition here at the Ricoh.

We know we will rest a few players.

This has banana skin written all over it.

I hope we will win and I think we may well might win, but I would not at all be surprised if we lost.

On a 12 game unbeaten run aren't they?

1-1 draw Cov win the replay.

We've only had one game since Jones' injury and we scored and hit the post?!

i agree we haven't been free scoring all season but there are no reasons to suggest we can't score against lower league opposition

"At best a replay" is a ridiculous comment

Meant to be a bit milder at the weekend. I think we could lose this. They came from behind to beat Blackpool in the last round.

Yup and it's not like we haven't got form here with this sort of thing. Happened too many times and often the gap between where we have been in the league and which league the opponent has been in has been greater than this.

Of course we SHOULD win, but the Ricoh hasn't been great for us and I think I would rather we were playing away from home.

It has all the makings of an upset.

Just relating to our historical failures against lower opposition.

We have had it happen too often to be overly confident.

As I say, we should win, but I would not be at all surprised if we were to draw or even lose.

Nothing would surprise me with this one. Might all click and run away comfortable winners or we might do a traditional CCFC FACup f*ck up. Just keeping my fingers crossed that we are in the bag for the 3rd round

Typical fa cup tie this. Can see them setting up for a replay and trying to win it at there place. Hopefully we can get the job done and into the hat for a bumper 3rd round home tie against the big sides and a treat for the kids to see some premier league names there familiar with thanks to sky.

Robins said before he takes this competition seriously so can see a pretty strong team being put out.

I hope unlike Maidenhead we don't let them bully us and be physical, I want to see somebody find their biggest player and absolutely smash him in the first minute.

I am going to sit where I want as well. I think I have an old £10 note lying about I will pay with as well, to be really gangster.

I think secretly there will be some people hoping we lose, so they can be angry and rant about how far we have fallen. Personally I'm treating it the same as if we were playing Chelsea or Arsenal.

I think we will get another 2-0 win over non-league oppo but like previous round will not be entirely comfortable.
Think we may line up something like this.

Team
Burge GK
Grimmer RB
Stokes LB
Macdonald CB
Davies CB
Doyle CM
Stevenson CM
McNulty ATT
Ponticelli ATT
McNulty ATT
Biamou ST

Subs: O'Brien, Haynes, Willis, Shipley, Maycock, Beavon, Duck

They are a club definitely on the way up (as opposed to us). Read their fascinating history:
Club History
They are actually investing in their club and building up infrastructure.
They have had far more success in terms of cup wins and promotions than us in the past couple of decades.
Even so, we should be able to beat them, but I'm predicting only by 2-1.

We could afford to put the Duck in as well if 1 of the McNultys get injured in the warm up

2-1 City
Hopefully Balanta impressed and as a result we provisionally sign him up afterwards.
Could do with DKE on him though to cancel out his pace.
