It's always sounds a bit dramatic to say it's a must win game in October, but it almost has that feel about it.

I fear it'll be a poor turn out tonight - actual turn out rather than published - usual dip for night games, general mood, televised, shit weather, road closures - lots of reasons people with give for giving it a swerve. Got to back them tonight though, a positive result could be pivotal.

Think it's going to be a good atmosphere tonight, always is at night with smaller crowds.

Waking up this morning something feels different. Don't know if anyone else feels the same.

Don't have the sense of dread that I've had for most matches recently. I'm strangely looking forward to the game.

Under the lights we often turn it on. I'm expecting a good performance tonight despite all the evidence that points to the contrary.

It’s almost a moot point whoever you play at full back - both sides.

It was glaringly obvious v Swansea how exposed they were, but I called it out a few games before that, as our wingers were/are playing incredibly narrow when defending and I honestly cannot understand the tactic?

If they were tucking and pressing with others doing the same and filling gaps, perhaps you can see the reason, but they just seem to be tucked, compressing the middle of midfield and leaving acres for the opposing full backs and wingers. It’s a constant 2v1 and it’s baffling.

We need the Sakamoto/MVE partnership firing again as when it does it works so well, in both directions.

JDS with Wright in front of him is going to be way too vulnerable, especially as Wright appears to have forgotten how to control a ball or move into an area to receive a pass.

Shit weather, shit form, shit attitudes from players and fans. Definitely going to win tonight.

We need some positive energy from the crowd tonight. For all the talk about injuries this is the first game of the season we could potentially field our 'first choice' starting 11 with decent options on the bench. Blackburn have started well but I don't really covet any of their players. Worm's gunna turn! 3-0!!

Only Bobby Thomas played more passes into the final third than Dasilva.

Only Thomas and Kitching made more progressive passes

Sometimes it just takes a single player with a certain mentality to step up and change the tide - hoping someone will do that over the next few games and give a platform for others who are shot of confidence time to breathe and improve things.

I remember in 2006 against Sunderland we were 1-0 down, Stephen Hughes had a bit of a scrap with someone, think it was Dean Whitehead...The players stepped up from that and won 2-1. Sometimes you just need a little fight to create the catalyst for a turnaround

I'm dreading it. Got a bad feeling about things at the moment.
I'm normally the last person to welcome an international break but looking forward to the next one.

So the system needs to change imo. Not suiting players and attacking wise carrying no threat.

Both of these games are good times to change. Both decent teams but feel we can expect more freedom at home.

So on that note, I’d try a 5-3-2. I know people who groan but let’s try and keep the ball around and build triangles throughout the pitch with our Cbs acting as an additional option. High press the other teams to try and suffocate them. Would ban long balls so no one just gives the ball away lol. Let’s try and go back to our league one days in our clever possession pass and move after all if teams don’t have the ball we don’t concede

Dolvin
Binks - Kitching - Thomas
Dasilva - Sheaf - Milan/Sakamoto
Eccles - Rudoni
BTA - Simms

We’ll see tonight how motivated we are to perform when the chips are down. If we don’t see a good performance, then I’ll be more concerned for the future of Robins as a manager.

This is a must win game for Robins sake. The players have a chance to show the fans they give a shit and can fight. Robins needs to select a side and tactics to make sure we get 3 points.

Amazed so many have Bidwell in TBH. I think he’s been dreadful this season and Dasilva has performed well whenever he’s come on. I think both fullbacks need a flatter midfield for protection, but especially the left with Wright ahead of them.

Has DaSilva really been that great?

I think the lovein for him is more because people dislike Bidwell.

I was pretty critical of DaSilva last season, but he's looked good so far in my opinion.

DaSilva got his pants pulled down for the third goal at Leeds. That move is his MO.

Bidwell hasn't been great this season, I would agree with that, but I fail to see how DaSilva is a better option really.

Let’s be honest it doesn’t matter which one plays in terms of results - Dasilva is just so easily caught out of position when the opposition attack and struggles to get back.

He was a signing we just could have done without

Surprised to see so many putting Wilson in. He made a few routine-to-good saves in the first half on Saturday but also almost handed them a second when allowing the ball to slip from under him when on the ground; their actual second was straight at him and he got a soft hand to it when he should have saved it; the third was from close range and he could have done better although I don't blame him for this one. Don't think Dovin has done anything wrong to deserve being dropped.

A lot of shouts for Wright to play upfront. Has he ever played well there for us?

Not many times and with no success. He doesn't have great attributes to play the sole striker. Poor at holding the ball up and poor movement. Unfortunately, that summary also describes Simms currently.

If Blackburn were top and unbeaten or bottom without a point, I wouldn't have a clue whether we would beat them tonight or not. Let's just hope there's not too much of a gap between us and 6th place after the next 2 games.

Fantastic players, but a pair of pussies when your backs are to the wall.

Weirdly it felt like that with Simms last season. The crowd got on his back and it produced some reaction. A couple of goals and a shush of the supporters and he really kicked on. Wright I always feel can produce something, and on his day is unstoppable. Just feels like he's struggled to get going this season.

We really need something from these two, as they can be the difference. Not seeing enough currently though.

Back to basics performance please. Good squad, still early doors in season. Forget the pressure and the disappointment.

Players absolutely pumped up! Fans roaring them on! Fight for that win. Get a win above anything else! Let's goo!!!!

A lot of posters saying this has to be 3 points. Well of course it would be nice but I wouldn’t underestimate the opposition right now. More than anything, I want to see the whole team playing for the manager and looking like they care, if they don’t tonight then something is drastically wrong

He’s been considerably better than Bidwell. I think the love in for Bidwell is because more people dislike Dasilva so what do we do now?

Does Saka deserve to start? You could make the argument he's been our worst attacker this season.

Thomas-Asante was an absolute disaster on the right against Swansea. Thought Sakamoto was good in the only game we’ve won and has a good partnership with MvE.
