What would you suggest he do ?
He's given Dovin a crack at securing the position but obviously something has held him back from making it his .
I think Dovin will be back soon and will be number 1 for the vast majority of the season .
It's not a bad dilemma to have really

I suggest he not piss about with keepers so much. That's it.
If Dovin is your number 1 and you've paid good money you back him, it's not like he did anything that meant he must be dropped. Wilson was absolute clown-like at Leeds in a way that Dovin certainly hasn't looked in any of his games.

I don't think we've fucked up by signing Dovin either !
He's a young , international keeper who's still learning the game . He will only get better for us given time on the training pitch and with the coaching staff

The keeper scenario stinks , as Robins in my eyes , has wasted another chunk of money & we are back to the Simon Moore position of paying god knows how much , for someone to just warm up each game ?
The start of the season again has been so poor & Tuesdays win just showed how this is going to be a long season, with our Jekyll & Hyde team .
P S are there any worst passers of a ball as Thomas & lumper Kitching ?

I agree he's not a good keeper.
And though I think he doesn't getcenough credit for his golden gloves he's gone backwards since then.
Which seems to be a theme with our keepers though Marosi and Moore seem to have had really bad luck with injury and personal issues respectively.

Think Marosi could have been our number 1 for years but for injury. There's a keeper who doesn't get enough credit, our title winning keeper.

I like Dovin and im far from a Wilson fan but if taking him out of the firing line for a few games helps then I don't mind

Fair. Still not sure what anyone who thinks he is a decent keeper is watching though. The stats and indeed his career don't really back it up.
If Robins genuinely thinks he's better than Dovin then we've really fucked up again.
Its not a situation of being better than Dovin, its a situation where we didnt give Dovin time to settle as a 21 year old leaving his home country, and thrust him straight into the firing line when he wasnt ready as he hadnt built up that connection to the defenders and they hadnt built their comfortable in him.
Its just a case of give him a break take him out the firing line and come back better, its good man management

Sounds from Robins like Wilson is a bit of a leader out there which is something we have sorely missed at the back since Fadz left. He's also brave which helps. I wasnt a fan of dropping Dovin initially but i think it might be a decent call until we are fully up to speed and playing with more confidence

You can see it in the way he organises the defence, he tells the fullbacks to push on and CBs to fill the gaps allowing Sheaf or Eccles to pick up the central space and offering better outlets for wide play.
He’s always yelling and communicating.
He’s a great personality to have in the squad

Couldn't go up but watched it instead. In tricky conditions and while we made a few mistakes that could have been punished one big plus was how calm Sheaf was, felt more like the player we've been missing again.

You know it’s true when even @Earlsdon_Skyblue1 forces himself to admit it!

It’ll be interesting to see whether Wilson is offered a new contract. Personally I think he will be let go this summer.

Nothing worse than a quiet keeper... especially when things aren't going right. You can't change people's personalities but he's got youth on his side and learning

I hate it when people make assumptions about others based on their appearance, but he's definitely a nonce.

As in let him go as a fan base, he seems to have Biamou-like cult status. We have so many good players yet our fans always take to the shite for some reason.

He has earnt cult status tbf. Some people, for some reason, refuse to give him any credit for his part in our run to the playoff final which really put us back on the map. Golden gloves winner, record clean sheets... and a vital goal at Blackburn. Sh1thousery, leadership and now taking on the role of no.2 without fuss. Deserves a decent send off if he goes at the end of the season.

Don't think Wilson is at the level but can't help but like him he's a great character and will be missed once he's gone.

How many have been full internationals in their early 20s?
