Has to play every game unless he is injured or makes several big errors over consecutive games. Same for the defence pick 4 (hopefully Van Ewjik, Thomas, Kitching and Bidwell) and stick with them for a run of games

Only Thomas and Kitching made more progressive passes

Which highlights the weakness of our midfield even more

think MR is protecting Dovin cos if they dont turn up the crowd wil get on his back and put any confidence he has on the backburner, nothing worse than the crowd turning on a player in the match!

Why would they get on Dovin’s back?

That would be very weird if that's the case. Not sure anybody has turned on him at all?

Today's pick some names out of the hat.

Looks like the usual system.

Wilson in goal again, and BTA up front

Looks a decent team on paper, hopefully Sakamoto and BTA will bring that work rate at the top end of the pitch

Never understood this whole “we don’t have a first choice keeper” thing

I mean sure I can somewhat get it when it’s dumb and fucking dumber of last year but we’ve spent 1.5 million on a first choice keeper to drop him for Wilson not even 10 games in?

With the other keeper we paid money for last summer not even in the squad.

Kitching and Bidwell are probably interchangeable with Binks and JDS, but much of a muchness.

BTA over Simms and Bassette is interesting. I’m assuming he’s attempting to utilise pace against their slow CBs.

Generally most of us would have chosen the rest of that team and we have a strong bench (on paper).

I genuinely don’t mind that.

Ability wise we’ve been shit. If we grind it out and have a committed performance it’s an improvement.

Clearly we've picked Wilson tonight so he can go and grab a last minute winner from a corner!

Honestly can’t believe he’s picked Wilson.

When we all know that he won’t last as number one and eventually it’ll be Dovin.

So just fuckin pick Dovin and stick with him.

We've only started our two 20 goal strikers together in the starting eleven just 3 times this season, which is bonkers given how well they linked up last season.

Oxford - Won
Bristol - Drew
Norwich - Lost

Only once in consecutive games, of which we got 4 points from 2 games.

Hardly a ringing endorsement of the recruitment department that we’ve spent 6 figures on a keeper in the summer and he’s been binned off for a bloke we signed on a free to be back up 5 years ago after playing 6 games.

Robins just doesn’t know how to manage keepers does he. Wilson will drop a clanger in a few weeks and Dovin will come back in, but this time he’ll be looking over his shoulder knowing he could be sacked off at any moment.
