I think we'll win but we won't get to sing "Who put the ball in the Blackburn net?". I'll take a 1-0, actually a 2-0 because a single goal makes me nervous.

If we do win, it'll be important as we're carrying on where we left off and puts us in a good position for the next run of games.

It'll be this or I think he might go Simms over Eccles.

Also, off topic, but why is the Ipswich game on 29th Dec a 6pm kick off? Is that right?

TV, I cannot believe it is kicking off at that time as it is not a bank holiday and down as a regular working day for me and many others (It just so happens I have the day off as my company give me my birthday off)

Tight turn around if you finish work at 5, may take a bit of a sledgehammer to the attendance

That is ridiculous tbh, never heard of a league game kicking off at 6pm on a working day? Would be tight for local home fans, let alone away fans!

My wedding anniversary.
But as we both forget most years I will feign the usual forgetfulness, book my ticket, then just shrug my shoulders

Cantwell seems to have started the season well. Will need to limit his time on the ball in particular.

Sheff Wed was an odd game, they were very poor defensively. Maybe BTA could work in the 10 but I think Eccles is the safer bet.

Seems unlikely (BTA to play at 10) as when Simms came on at Wednesday he switched BTA to the left and used Haji as a 10 it seemed

Yeah I think unless he's played a full match on Tuesday, there's no reason why he couldnt start on Saturday afternoon. He'll be back in time for training on Friday. We can't afford to take our foot off the gas. Start the strongest team and adjust as the game goes on.

Agree, better to start and sub off when we are 4 up at half time, simms can come on and score 2 to make it 6

Don't get too cocky, we're falling into the trap we accuse other fans of doing, boasting!!!!
Pretty sure Frank will have them grounded and in the right headspace.

I’m expecting a fairly close game, think we might be slightly disjointed to start. Hopefully should still have enough to win - 2-1 maybe.
