First PL match. What I remember most was the pitiful crowd of 12K which included 4K Boro fans.

Think you over estimated the Boro support, but yes a poor turnout for us. Then again the previous season had been very depressing! Terry Fleming looked a decent prospect in this game, but this was as good as it got for him.

Boro keeper playing like he'd been doing balloons.

also think this is the first game I went to on my own. Did anyone else go to the CCFC training at Ullathorne then get bussed to the game, sit in the Family Stand?

This would be the start of something beautiful - The club releasing a half season VHS video in time for the Crimbo present market.
That said, It wouldn't have included the Boxing day massacre against Villa, would it
Maybe it was released in January.

I think I was on holiday in Northern Ireland - thanks Mum - and missed the first 3 games, which I believe we won.

Saturday Club at stringer - I did it. Training, lunch then a ticket and bus up the ground super early.

Definitely did the training and match thing a couple of times. Can't remember the school though.

I remember him also showing a couple of moments of great skill away at Everton a couple of months later but things did seem to fizzle out pretty quickly for him.

It was definitely reported as 4K at the time. They’d won promotion the year before so there was high demand from their fans.
