City went a goal up in the 41st minute courtesy of a goal from an unlikely source, Stephen Jennings. Preston hit back early in the second half with a headed goal from Foster to make it 1-1. 13 minutes later Preston increased their lead with a weak effort from Beavon which took an unlucky deflection off city midfielder, Conor Thomas to make it 2-1 to the away side with 10 minutes to go. In the 89th minute the Preston keeper went down with some sort of injury (to countdown the time in Preston's favour) silly man, wrong move! That then have city 5 minutes of added time Great work from Franck Moussa on the left, produced a cross into the box which fell to city RB Jordan Clarke. A touch of class from the youngster set up the gaffer, Carl Baker, to drive the ball through the legs of the helpless goalkeeper in the 93rd minute, 2-2 game on! City awarded a free kick on the half way line a minute later, Blair Adams floats a ball into the box, falls to Baker who turns a defender and unleashes a rocket of a shot which the keeper fumbled straight to the feet on city's new boy Leon Clarke to score the winner and his first goal for the club! 3-2 and city through to the JPT area final, the fans go wild!!
