What reception will Mark Robins receive when we host Stoke on March 8th?
Personally, I'd like to think he'd get fantastic response from the city fans. He was here long enough, with some fabulous memories.
Great round of applause and cheers as he walks out onto the pitch area ahead of his new team, then let's get down to business!
Thoughts everyone?

Don’t claim to be ITK in any way but over heard that dastardly Doug has told all the players under no circumstances must they acknowledge Robins when he returns or they risk being fined a weeks wages.

Also don’t quote me on this but apparently he’s going to leave a soiled bag of nappies under the away dug out and make sure all the toilets are blocked in the away changing rooms so the stench really lingers.

Might be bollocks like but thought I’d share anyway.

Before the kick off I hope he is given the reception and platitudes he deserves.
Soon as the game starts I hope we put them to the sword
Still the manager who has given me more highs than any other manager in my 45-50 years of supporting my beloved club

I think I'll find it difficult to applaud him before the game, we're in "war mode", don't care who we're playing and who manages them, it's all about the three points.

Hopefully, once the game has finished, he can have a walk around the ground where I will be duly applauding, hopefully with three points in the bag.

A round of applause before or after the game will suffice. It's the least he deserves for what he did in our darkest days.

But during the game he is just another manager of another club we're playing. Hopefully a 4-0 win.

It's a game of football not " war " he will receive a great reception for the job he did at the club.

Very much so. And I will be part of the fantastic reception he receives....when the final whistle has blown but, of course, do not begrudge anyone who chooses to show their appreciation for the fantastic work MR has done for us during a different time.

In response to the usage of the word "war" in my previous message, I have a great interest in military history - despite my own pacifism - and the natural adversarial nature of sports sometimes causes a spill over into my common parlance. I of course know this is not "war", perhaps a poor usage of words in my zeal.

I hope it’s engineered to enable him to get that applause 10 mins before kick off with Frank not yet out.

If we win Stoke fans won’t want him doing a lap of honour and if we lose many fans will have gone, particularly with the farcical road closures.

if it was made known that Robins would come out 10 mins before the match to applaud the fans and be applauded by the fans most fans would get to their seat early to pay due respects. Those that can’t be torn away from the bar a few mins early aren’t bothered about him anyway.

At least he won't be taking a corner so our support can't embarrass themselves like they did with Hamer.
Hope he gets a great reception pre game then down to business.

Anything after the game is fine. As long as we don’t start sucking him off during , like people did to hamer mid game

Get into him early doors, don’t let him have a touch of the ball. Boo him if he does.

Protect the ball boys at all costs.

Half and half scarves on sale in the club shop.

Celebrate any goals directly in front of the Stoke dug out.

That’s all I want.

Nothing silly I hope. I still think some of our fans will get a little too excited and sing songs and make banners etc.

A clap after the game will be good. If we lose I will be gone anyway.

We ‘ll clap and sing him some songs. It’s fair enough…it wasn’t that long ago people were debating what his statue should be made of.
I don’t get the dislike of showing appreciation to our ex-‘heroes’. It feels like something that has always happened.

Personally I can both appreciate Robins (Hamer and other ex-players) and still want us to beat them 7-0. More than one emotion!

I actually feel sorry for Robins - seeing someone else come in and get a better tune out of the squad you built can’t be easy, especially when you’re struggling in a new job.

There's no problem giving Robins a round of applause in front of Lampard. It's rare to see a manager stay at a club for so long and drag a club from oblivion with so much constantly going wrong.

Lampard would fully understand. Then finish it off with a bit of 'Super Frank'

If he doesn't get a great reception, then something's wrong. I don't know where we'd be without him, but I doubt it would be a perennial play-off challenging Championship team.

I then hope he goes home disappointed.

Did Fadz get a song yesterday out of interest? I like were a club that ex employees come back to. Always found booing some ex players a bit embarrassing. Not O’Hare though. That’s funny.
