The grammatical and formatting errors undo the work of the artist, unfortunately.

Full stop on an article headline
midlands not capitalised
'34 year old' rather than 34-year-old
A quote taking up half the article with no mention of who said it at all

With a more accurate aping of BBC journalistic standards and a more realistic story, you could easily dupe a bucketload of eager fans for a while.

Not to mention the completely different font

The biggest fake of all of course is that the photo doesn't show Heskey falling over, so they've clearly stuck his head on someone else's body.

Does that mean the whole universe is gullible?

Yep. How many said they believed it? Just cos people argue as to whether or not any player would be a good or bad signing, that doesn't mean people just believed the validity of the OP.

Don't apply logic and sense when TheBoss is trying to snipe at people, it'll just scare and confuse him.

I'm inclined to just say I believe it so TheBoss is right for once

Judging by the normal standard of 'proof readers', you may not notice the difference between their headline and the fake..

I haven't/can't be bothered to read the thread upto now:-

Think he would be a good signing personally. Think Cody & McSheffrey could play off him nice, saying that though, I'd prefer to get 5 or 6 players in then 1 Heskey on 20k.

I didn't believe for a minute but the fact that if it was true people would have moaned says it all. It would have been the first positive news item that would have attracted national interest in ages.

I'd much rather we had the three that signed for Swindon on Monday,we need goals and thats what they've bought,Probably for 40-50% of Heskeys wage.

I wasn't moaning at all. My stance is that we desperately need goalscorers. Heskey is not a goalscorer. 1 in every 6 for Wigan and 1 in every 9 for Villa.

That is a dreadful return and I'm saying that as a person who has always quite rated the bloke.

Well it is goals we need and it's goals Heskey is known for!

In fact isn't his nickname Emile 'Goal Machine' Heskey?

Or on second thoughts it maybe could be 'Barn-door' Heskey.

The way we are going our whole squad won't be on muck more than 20k per week.

Never ever ever thought I would hear myself say this. However here goes...........

I dont think it will happen due to wages, but if Emile came to us on league one wages I think it would be good signing.

He would be good in the big man role then we would still need another cody and another big man

Players of Heskeys age keep playing because they want to, not so much for the money. He would still be offered more elsewhere than we would offer him though.
