I may have missed this (sorry if its been discussed) but just noticed they have a crowd funding page going to keep the club afloat due to Covid.

Would be decent if some of us could contribute to the citys real rugby club

Donated a few weeks ago. Coventry RFC is a famous name and a game at Butts Park is a great day out.

Maybe, but the council would find a way to scupper it.

Not sure and they dont mention it here apart from the fact that its artificial

It could easily be replaced with one that complies, install temporary stands and yes a joint venture with Cov Rugby, let Wasp fester in there 32000 bowl full to the brim with 2000 fans!

Butts is plastic.
100% not a hybrid. Not suitable for EFL

3G pitch. 4G pitches are not yet tested and approved by the Sporting Bodies

I know it's a much lower level but Cov United play on Butts pitch.

cant see how it could become a championship ground.

to be honest, we have been through so much crap i wouldnt wish it on anyone else, so hope it stays as cov rugby ground
