Come next season with our owners in charge you will do well to see more than 2 or 3000 in the ground.

In the summer of either 87 or 88 - I forget which one - I was on holiday in Hampshire.
On a day out drive my then wife, Brother-in-Law and me called into a pub called The Lamb in a village called No - Mans - Land.
To my surprise the whole of the bar was decked out in Sky Blue with scarfs draped over mirrors, team pictures, pennants and flags. It turned out that the pub used to be owned by John Sillets Brother and that following the FA cup victory Snoz had taken the whole team to the village to take part in a cricket match on the village green.
My - then wife - and her Brother had food poisoning after choosing a ham sandwich from the lunch time menu. :vomit:

I've lived in Essex all my life. I fell in love with the Coventry kit first around 67, and have been following and supporting them all my life. I brought my eldest son up to be a Cov fan...he had no choice really as I kept buying him the kit for christmas....telling him father christmas must have run out of the Man U ones, or they fell off his slay. Cov fans are the best in the country , perhaps with Rochdale, who also haven't had anything much to shout about. I've never lived outside of Essex but have always enjoy your wit and warm friendship when ever Ive gone to games on my own. You lot do have a bit of a weird accent though......

I used to work at the Doncaster service station around 2009 and there was a family who turned up asking for directions (with a London accent), the kid was wearing an old city shirt (the giant logo one) and when I mentioned it the father replied "His uncle gave it to him last year and he's hardly had it off since". I used to think my luck was bad [having missed out on Wembley by a year] but if he became a city fan from the last 00's... ouch.

We've never had a problem finding Cov fans all over the country, from Bristol to now up here in Yorkshire. Having just moved to east Yorkshire, turns out there's a few silent city fans here, our local postie guessed our team straight away when we said it was going through rough times as his best friend is a Cov fan.

You can bet that if an explorer discovered an unknown tribe living in the middle of the Brazilian rainforest, one of the kids would be wearing a bleedin' Man Utd top!!

With the amount of clothes that we send abroad it's no wonder kids are dressed like Japanese generals in Africa
