The Football League has allowed a situation to develop in which a London-based hedge fund has taken a Midlands football club with 130 years of history away from its city and away from its fans. What kind of governance is that?
What is the point of the Football League?

That was the cup game where they had 6 full internationals on the sheet/pitch and people (it wasn't just him) called their team a junior team, or youngsters etc. Mifsud was excellent that night!Ah well if he says it that must be case closed. Didn't Durham once claim put victory at old Trafford a few years ago didn't count as it wasn't a proper man U team we were against?

In March 2010 Greg Clarke took up his role as Football League chairman saying: ‘My highest priority is to ensure that all 72 clubs are transparent and financially viable.’ I’m left wondering if Coventry were included in that number.
The club has lurched from crisis to crisis while the Football League were just standing there watching, only too ready to leap into action when there was a points deduction to hand out.
In March this year, as I reported in this column a few weeks ago, the Football League took 10 points off Coventry and said they had: ‘begun discussions with the administrator aimed at achieving a sustainable future for the club.’
These ‘discussions’ centred on what exactly? Coventry City are now homeless, facing liquidation, and have a supporter base that is understandably disillusioned and angry.
And it’s all on Greg Clarke’s watch.

I think the bloke's a bit opinionated but this was very well put:

And Greg Clarke is a life long Leicester fan, a former director at Leicester prior to FL appointment.
Not really bothered is he..........
That was the best side we ever had with Keane, McCallister etc and we ended up 13th which was appalling!yes the writing was on wall the season before when we were the entertainers, no away win all season. It think it started at the Charlton cup match when we were 2-0 up and lost,
won two of the next 15 matches

"In my opinion the problems started when Gordon Strachan got a very good Coventry side (it included Craig Bellamy, John Hartson and Mustapha Hadji) relegated from the Premier League."
I've been saying this for years!! Hate Strachan!!
