For promotion this season we have had our odds generally cut from 4/1 to 3/1 over the last few days because we have signed a few players.

We are 4th favourites to win the League outright.

The betting right now has 19 teams in the league with longer odds than Cov to face the drop.

Cov finish in the top 6? That will get you 101/100 right now (bookmakers fully expect a top 6 finish AT LEAST)

PUSB!

All this is irrelevant unless they do well on the pitch. Bookies will always make a relegated team favourites for promotion because it's expected of them.

but if we were odds on for relgation you would say the bookies are rarely wrong.

Last season we were one of the favourites to go down with every bookmaker. Got that right didn't they!

1.04 with betfair for a top 6 finish... I'd say they are pretty certain we will be there or thereabouts...

3/1 for promotion from Ladbrokes too...

That can't be right. We are BY FAR the favourites to finish top 6.

Even Sheffield United aren't that short.

Very very strange. :thinking about:

The concern I still have is goals. The team doesn't look collectively capable of scoring more than 50 or so in a season. We need forwards still.

I bet that Richard Shaw has enough hair to give some spare to Lee Carsley. Do I win a prize?
