What a farce.

Liverpool say any offers will be rejected
He says he is injured
He puts in a transfer request

Liverpool say he hasn't put in said transfer request.
Then it emerges he sent an email requesting transfer.

Liverpool getting a taste of their own after getting Van Dijk to do exactly the same at Southampton.

Anyone follow RAWK Meltdown on Twitter? (for those unaware it's somebody who picks out Liverpool fans' quotes from their forum Red and White Kop)

Libpool fans are the most self-indulgent wankers on earth, particularly the ones from outside of Liverpool.

I went to Basel last year to accompany some friends soak in the fan zone atmosphere for the Europa League final against Sevilla.

I can honestly say I could not believe how many scumbags were there. So many degenerates robbing from shops, pissing on other fans, and just generally having very little respect for anyone whatsoever.

I know Coventry have some shitty fans, but certainly the atmosphere around Wembley was nothing like that, I guess this was an abroad game though. I even bought a half and half scarf to bring back for a friend (true story), and it got robbed from around my neck!!

So Barcelona who were so hard done to over Neymar have unsettled him I hope UEFA are watching them as well. If I was at Liverpool I would wait till it gets to £100m and then cash in. The good thing is that he has put in the transfer request so will most likely lose a load of loyalty bonuses.

Will be interesting to see how it progresses, I wouldn't be surprised to see other teams making bids for Barcelona players which will allow their agents to negotiate even bigger contracts

Sorry to hear that!

Would be stupid for them to sell, there is no time for them to get in an adequate replacement, and i'm not sure there even is one at least not for a sensible price?

He ended up buying one 2 mins after kick off for a relatively low price. Sad he had to do it though.

There are some out there. Asensio has a 40m€ buyout clause which is a bargain given the current market. Barca have been sideswiped by the Neymar transfer and are panicking. Liverpool could name their price.

Asensio isn't really a proven talent yet though, decent prospect but not somebody who could come in and replace what Coutinho brings to that team. I think Barca will go up to 110 Million. I think the market is just a bit too mental right now. If you had said that price for Coutinho a month ago I think Liverpool would have accepted, but now I don't think so.

Every Everton fan I've ever met has been bloody lovely too. It's weird - like the Sheffield Utd/Wednesday debate on another thread.

But not proven is what I'm saying?
I think he could turn out to be a good player, or the next Jesé, but Liverpool need somebody in now not for the future.

Hilarious hearing Liverpool fans calling the radio complaining about "player power" and their hate for Coutinho. Ignoring the way they gleefully celebrated that wanker Van Dijk scoring on Friday night.

Liverpool still see themselves as being on the Barcelona level.

As Southampton are their feeder club I wonder who they get from there.

They should try to sign Carrasco from atlecico Madrid and I would have been tempted by Ross Barkley at that price
