Why can't you get in the Ricoh if you turn up late for a game? After finishing work at 3:50pm I just got there as the 2nd half kicked off, to find not a soul outside the ground and all turnstiles locked shut! Even around the main entrance/ticket office there was nothing. I've never turned up at that time in 24 years watching the City, but I just presumed you could get in at any time when there's a match on if you've got a ticket. Anyway, I gave up after pacing around the stadium a couple of times.

What would it cost to keep one turnstile open? Not happy as I may need to do this another couple of times this season!!

It's the same at most if not all grounds in the country.

Strange though considering we have unmanned turnstiles. You could have one of those orange coated thugs watching from the inside and earn their poxy £6 an hour.

I've turned up in the 70th minute before after finishing work, you have to knock on the doors where they let the disabled people in and they let you in

I dont see why we would keep a turnstile open! We struggle to get people using them for the time they are open, let alone keeping them open until the 2nd half!! Im sure if you'd waited around until around the 70 minute mark, the big gates probably open for the early leavers who often have seen enough and get up and go! THey'd have found it odd tho seeing someone walking IN as they are walking OUT

Could have got in at HT?
I thought they opened some gates at HT to let the smokers go out? I usually stay in my seat at HT but I remember they used to. Should have just banged on the gates, usually there is a steward on the other side, might have opened it for you.

On this occasion you are excused. Top marks for commitment in coming.

My dad use to work on the turnstiles at Highfield Road, i use to go with him as we couldn't afford ST's back then. Anyway, you can get into the ground up until the end of the first half.
