To talk to Nick Eastwood would require him to remember what is fact and what isn't. He conveniently forgot about the letter SISU signed exempting further action against them which was a condition of talks in the first place.
I mean he thinks PSB group is a supporters group and not an individual seeking attention

Yes I think they will be this ground share proposal suits neither party financially imo sisu had to tell the EFL its plans for the coming season this week doesn’t mean it’s cast in stone, two months to go yet before the big kick-off.

if you think that it was all over a couple of weeks ago and then suddenly it was back on again - what makes people think it all finished? these people are hardened business negotiators - its not al over till a ball is kicked

What happens a year from now is the concerning part
You have to assume that Eastwood will not change his stance during the EU investigation, which will take approx 3 years.
SISU will have to make a declaration to the EFL in the next few months if they really are going to build a new ground. Then the EFL will support us playing at St Andrews, whilst the ground is built. If no commitment from SISU then expect the EFL to play tough.

Also my thoughts - could be a bit of brinkmanship going on - something does not stack up as Birmingham city have made no statement

Didn't we also move back to the Ricoh part through the season last time?

You are correct. There has to be an end game. Building a new ground is the only option other than renting at the Ricoh again, so our focus has to be that, look fir sites and ask CCC could it go there if not why and if not where.

I think the EU thing is a two stage process. An initial assessment, which is underway now and then a full investigation. The initial assessment is supposed to be a(relatively) short process and will move to the lengthier full investigation if the assessment shows there are grounds for believing there has been a breach of the rules. So, this time next year it could be all over or wasps and ccc will be crapping themselves if a full investigation is pursued

That's how I understand the investigation process. It could be all over in a few months with no in depth investigation to follow.

They could be talking who knows. I'm struggling to see the benefits to Wasps in their course of action.

There is no legal action ongoing and CCFC or SISU can't stop the EC investigation. That doesn't change if we're at the Ricoh or not. If anything kicking us out is more likely to mean further legal action.

What does change is they lose our rent and associated revenues from a minimum of 23 event days and in the region of 285K customers.

In what way is this a good business decision from Wasps?

Isn’t it just brinkmanship? They’ve got 2 months to change their mind and will be readily forgiven by most if they do. Whereas all the upheaval is on our end. And if we are forced out they get the Coventry hornets in with the backing of Hoffman’s little pot of gold, the CT and their PR machine to promote it. Or Sisu come back accepting worse conditions. Or Sisu decide they’ve had enough, sell up and Wasps get to milk the CCFC cash cow the council promised them in the first place.

....and maybe we'll all wake up, realise it was all a dream and be back playing at the Ricoh.

There's no way SISU, or any future owner, will indemnify Waspa and the council. That is a completely unrealistic request.

There's no way to stop the EC investigation. That is a completely unrealistic request.

SISU have already "signed an undertaking to irrevocably cease all proceedings against Wasps relating to the sale and lease of the Ricoh Arena".

It is now 100% down to Wasps. They either change their stance or we don't come back.

And if Sisu are still in charge, we won't build a new stadium either.

You can see why many are saying this could be the death knell for the club.

They won’t change their stance they know Sisu are full of shit and have no intentions of building a ground once this latest Legal fails what next for them surely their losing money every year they carry on their never gonna get back what they say they’ve put in just pack up and fuck off

I just wonder if wasps insistence that we indemnify them Is because they are aware that the EC are far more likely to rule that the sale needs investigation and find it was legally as well as morally wrong.

Likewise SISU must think moving to brum is worth their while.

As bad as this is at the moment I have a feeling we will be back and probably own the Ricoh in the next five years.

Its a very odd hill to die on when we have repeatedly been told there is zero chance of Wasps / CCC ever being found to be in the wrong. As much as it screws us over it hurts them as well.

Either they want us to go bust as they fear the competition or they are genuinely concerned about losing.

And playing second fiddle to them, which is why they hate the idea of us getting back into the Championship and probably even our successful campaign last season.

My only worry then is the 'who pays for which bit' games will start - roads, infrastructure etc.
That said, plenty of other stadiums seem to get built around the country.
There does seem to have been a CCC stance that the Ricoh is the stadium, play there and do not want to entertain the thought of another stadium happening. I also think SISU need to firm up their intention of another stadium happening (and most on here are rightfully cynical about their willingness/intention to do so).

If SISU were negotiating Brexit we would have left by now! They have called Wasps bluff, let's now see how much they can afford to loose our income stream. From what I read like the EU
Wasps are an organisation with debt problems.Sadly our current plight could be likened to the Greek economy, but the differance is we don't have rich clubs who want to bail us out.....
