I was looking at the stadium during the first leg game and thinking this would be only viable option.
Realistically don’t think it will ever be needed, especially when we’re renting. Capacity is about right for top end champ/low end prem and the city size. Investment could be made in infrastructure and match day experience though.
Let's not get ahead of ourselvesI think if we stayed in the Prem a few years 40-45k could be justified TBH.
Put even more pressure on parking !
Where else these days have the crowds dwindled ? It wouldn't happen these days unless our fans truly believe our club is one on its own
I suppose it depends how shrewd a business man DK is. I have always thought the club is marketed poorly, there is so much more that could be done.I could see us selling our home games for a season or two because it’s been so long but I doubt we would sustain it.

Can it happen? Yes - with a lot of effort.
Will it happen in the next 20 years? No
Why?
All Premier League grounds are at least 90% full on average. There is no reason at all to assume we would be any different.
As I've said before, as a group of fans we are not special. We're no different to any other supporters.
I’m not saying it’s impossible but historically we’ve never sold out all home games in a season have we. Even in highfield road days it wasn’t always sold out I don’t think.
Since the Ricoh days we’ve been a club with a hardcore of around £13K and now we are progressing that’s more like £16K + with walk ups and more casual fans. I hope I’m wrong

Football attendances across the board are at their highest levels since the 50s. Comparing us potentially being in the PL next season to us in the 90s isn’t a fair comparison.
The PL clubs currently selling out every week also do not have a history of doing that
Thanks for the interesting replies. I didn't want it to turn into we would never fill it debate it was just a simple question of whether it was possible.
This. until King humbles himself and drops the prices we won’t see the demand to warrant a stadium capacity increaseNot this again. We're not selling out week in week out now, why would anyone fork out to expand, especially as it would probably mean playing with a reduced capacity for a while.

Bumped.

There was planning permission originally for an upper deck, I think.
Needs to be sold out every game for about 3 years for there to be serious talk on extending I'd imagineZero plans to extend the CBS I’ve been told
I’ll have a bash.I do hate it when a thread morphs into something fuck all to do with the original title.
In this case Could the CBS Arena be extended?
It's a simple yes no question FFS.
Now then where was I.......
100 grams of plain flour
125 grams of currants
125 grams of sultanas
All in black all in black I shoved it up her ......
I’ll have a bash.
We’ve had 40000 in for concerts so fire escape certificate / insurance / police / medical certificate or whatever would be not so much an issue.
I guess can increase it a bit to about 33-34k without too much infrastructure change.
The posh seats that no-one sits at? Rip
Half out and replace with some safe standing and sell more “exec tickets” up there. Folks can watch the game and drink beer behind the glass with notional seats outside that they don’t sit in anyway but more of them. It’s the concourse area and that side that we need to squeeze.
If it's kept as it is they'll be empty seats whatever league we're inHospitality won’t be reduced. It makes a shitload more profit per seat than regular seating. The ground was built for the Prem and finally they will be able to realise a proper revenue from that stand
