With the state of Meadow Lane's pitch (even worse than Sixfields) - and with Nottingham RUFC due to play there tonight - I wonder if Notts County are contemplating using the Ricoh as a 'Home' match next Saturday, as there pich is unlikely to be fit (it was a mudbath last week).

Makes sense - their largest gate and pristine playing surface. If LCFC can play there why can't they. Football League may even sanction.

The Ricoh authorities may even allow them Match Day Revenues as an incentive - just to please SISU!!

Or more likely it will just be postponed.

I know American Football is never postponed but with the severe weather in the States I wonder if ACL have enquired hosting the Superbowl on Sunday?

"Despite the consistent rain in Nottingham over the last 72 hours, tonight's match between Nottingham and London Scottish is scheduled to go ahead as planned.
It's very wet, but there is no standing water on the pitch, so as things stand, there shouldn't be anything to stop the match from being played."

Especially if their landlords can find an alternative venue for their match next Saturday.

Why on earth would Notts County play a home game in Coventry (there really is no need to ask why Coventry would play in Northampton)

We've proven it's so successful that others are catching on to it too ... never play a home game at home ... it really could be the new trend ! And we we're first ! For a change. )

Just hope it's trivial matches only.
If ever a big concern took up the tenancy then CCFC would be committed to the depths forever.

Hypothetically then, what would the gate be? 10k?

Enough for NCFC to provide free transport & the Ricoh to provide free burgers.

We need to get rid of this stupid idea its fine just to move any club outside of the city or town it plays in.

The football leauge needs to grow some balls and outlaw this straight away.

Then maybe just maybe it stops whats happening to us, happening to another set of supporters.

Would be a canny chairman who did it though. You'd get 20k easy to a game at the Ricoh against City.

Don't think anyone is close enough to be fair, maybe Walsall.

But yeah, never going to happen. Though Notts would have more grounds for a ground share due to nowhere available than Sisu did and it worked for them.

We would lend them some of those 'WHEN' and 'WHY?' banners.

Would have thought they'd use the city ground if anything. If not that then derby.

We have to accept the inevitable that we have lost the Ricoh so we will see a stream of clubs using our "home" ground over the next season and the next.It hurts but we've been kicked about for so long now we're just waiting for the next boot in the nuts !
