Yep, that's Fleck in a nutshell.

Flashes of brilliance and then a disappearance into the murky darkness.

Looks a strange league already with some bizarre results, makes it more annoying when with just a decent proper striker we could easily be sitting at the top on maximum points instead of dropping 7 points against 3 very beatable teams I find this recruitment policy baffling.

Reid isn't a striker, he's a winger. He has 27 career goals in 280 games. Why mowbray has brought him in when he knows hes decided on wing backs I'll never know. Sordell I think is a decent signing and could score a few.

I was shocked when the promotion favourites signed him.

Awful, awful player and a dickhead to boot.

The point is indeed that the manager's recruited him for that role however.

Like a couple of others here, I was relieved we got a point last night (yes, I know how desperate that is, especially since we thrashed them 6-0 last time)

Some will look at us signing Turnbull and moan that we're not signing an attacker, but actually we do need a player like him badly (Ricketts did not win much in the air last night, though he put in some decent blocks). When we face better opposition we're going to need more dominant defenders.

I think that performance will add even greater urgency to our recruitment now: I still think we can have a good season if we can add a quick, strong striker as a permanent signing.

Fair point, but he's a poor signing for that role.

Back on topic, Hussey is a weird one: can be excellent going forward from deep and has got a great set piece delivery, but seems to forget to defend at all...

Maybe, but that's who the manager's actively chosen to recruit

All of the teams could be saying that.

It's a poor but competitive league.

Hussey is crap and league 2 at best. Looks like their fans cotton on a bit quicker than some of ours.

Fleck was always massively over rated, Don't think he ever produced more than a 7/10 performance, simply not good enough.
