Bolton away - (2 dropped points) 1 of those 3 disallowed goals should have been given never mind the clear penalties
Peterborough away (2 dropped points) equaliser very last kick
Mk Dons away (2 dropped points) missed a penalty
Tranmere at home (3 dropped points) 19 shots -71% possession
Sunderland away (2 dropped points) last-minute underserved Sunderland equaliser
Get our injured players and strikers back and we get the rub of the green - why would we not get one of the automatic promotion spots
Correct and that’s why we must all remain positive, we have a number of players in very good form even a fit again Jamie Allen isn’t a shoe-in. the dropped points you raise are annoying, mainly due to missed guilt edge chances but on a positive these chances are being created, I’m very confident about the our New Year prospects.
Agreed, you can’t just go through games we didn’t win and say we should be top of the league.
We’ve actually benefited more through scoring late goals than conceding them - 8 points for and 6 dropped I think. We’ve not a lost game through a late goal but we have picked up two wins through them against Blackpool and Wimbledon. Although, the Oxford game is either way as we also scored in added time.
I’d agree about the Fleetwood game but you have to take into account that they scored in the first few minutes a goal that was quite clearly offside. Without a doubt that influenced the course of the game.
Overall, taking into account refereeing decisions and the general passage of playin games, I think that we are unlucky not to be several more points better off.

While I would agree that an early goal can change the shape of the game, they had four unbelievable chances in the first half and should have been well out of sight. And we say we miss sitters! I am happy with where we are in the league, I think we possibly could be a few points better off, the Bolton game is my biggest thorn. We need to get the monkey off our back and win an away game, fingers crossed it's Shrewsbury and hopefully that will give us some fresh impetus to push through a tricky winter perioud.
Last season, if we'd won all of our games we'd now be playing in the Championship. And if we'd also won all of our games this season we'd be top of the Championship!
Who'd have thought it? Currently working on predicting where we would be in the Premiership next season if we win all our games. I'll post an update when I've figured it out.
One of our major problems is that we can't put games to bed once we take the lead. Despite being the better team in all bar about 2 League games this season, we never seem to get a 2 goal cushion. This means the pressure is always on us defensively and leaves us prone to a sucker punch. Until we iron that out we will remain on the fringes of the play offs rather than involved in the chase for the automatic promotion places.
