Towards the play off push , Allen has been so consistent for us. Similar to how Allen was critical in the play off campaign a couple of years ago

Between the two of them there is class, energy and tenacity great paring in my opinion

Think Allen was key today with his energy. We have so many technical midfielders now who can control a game. But we missed his energy and tbh fight last game.

Hope he starts the next few games.

Allen was brilliant and brought energy but he inspired it in the others, Torp and Grimes both got about the pitch better today.

Allen was so good today..almost kante-esque?

A few sloppy passes but nothing major

We have been here before with Allen though. If he did this every week he would be a starter. But he doesn't always.

But it's his shirt for now again

I thought torp presses so well too. Hard work makes such a difference

Allen’s positioning was excellent and defensive passing very good, but struggles to transition us into attack though
Grimes defensive play also excellen, but was a bit slow today and unusually caught in possession

Both playing against the strong sides gives our wobbly defence the protection it needs.

Not sure it works if a side just comes to CBS for a point

Allen got a couple of games and he absolutely shone in them. He's absolutely deserving of his place in the starting line-up.

For me Grimes has offered so much more than Sheaf does. Yes Sheaf will do one or two clever things per match but he can go missing besides. Grimes impacts every game and I'd be unhappy to see him lose his spot to Sheaf.

I tell you who isn't in with a shout of being the lynchpin

Ben Sheaf

Won't get into the team at the moment even if fit

Easy to test - next game, play the same XI.

If they show the same level then stick with it.

Allen's aggression is underrated too. He doesn't bottle a tackle and Bellingham didn't want it today.

It’s his positioning that is key. Allows Torp, and eventually Rudoni, to support attack and find pockets of space.
