Football could easily fix itself.......if the premier league weren't such greedy cunts.....we need more of the TV money fairly distributed down through the levels.....

Abolish the TV deal and limit televised football to one game per week from each league to be shown on terrestrial TV.
The problem is that the Premiership is now populated by primarily foreign owned clubs. If anything brand "Premiership" is only going to become further estranged from the rest of the professional game.
I don't think there is a quick fix either because handing out more money would just alert agents to demand higher player salaries, rather than allow for cheaper admission. Forcing the club down the throat of everyone in the city (and surrounding area) in a positive light and providing incentives to attending games is what is needed. It is difficult but I guess it is about making the local club more relevant to kids than the side they see every week on Sky Sports.

I could watch 3 movies, covering about 6 hours, buy a decent game covering about 20 hours, or go to the theatre for 3-4 hours and with a guarantee of quality.
When you’ve got Sky on TV and FIFA on consoles also offering you football based entertainment at a fraction of the cost, it’s no surprise.
Someone on NMW shouldn’t have to pay half a days wage to watch low level football. Any change would fuck over clubs without hefty TV income, but we can’t keep propping up a shitty business mode in the hope that it magically gets fixed.
Overall would have to say we don't look too good this year when in the past we have been pretty comparable to other clubs.
Only 6 clubs have their cheapest ST at the same price or higher than us. Although another 10 are within £30.
11 clubs most expensive ST is cheaper than ours.

Parking is missed on this survey and I reckon there's a good chance we'd be top by a fair distance on that as well.

It's an investment way beyond entertainment expectation and most of us accept it will be a lifelong 'marriage' regardless of reward and we stick with them. (in varying degree)

It's catch 22 in the lower leagues, as they aren't getting silly money from TV rights they rely on the ticket money a lot more.
The £30 figure which can be quoted per game is what I pay a month for 10 months I think it is on a season ticket. Some months it will be 2 games but others 3 or 4 within that month so doing it that way really isn't too bad. I think the 18-21 season ticket is only about £230 so that would be about £23 a month which works out much better than paying per match.
If for example Leagues 1 and 2 want to on the whole bring ticket prices down then they need to also look to bring player wages down. The more players will expect to be paid in those leagues then the more tickets will rise to cover it.
While all of the focus is on the Premier League and silly money being given to those clubs and teams lower down getting ignored, there won't be much of a choice but to charge to cover costs.
I understand that some people don't like finance or paying monthly for things but I do think finding a way to help people pay for blocks of tickets easier gives them more of an incentive to.
Also, with social media, Fifa, Sky Sports etc how much of it is down to expectation. Kids nowadays will watch something on Sky and see Neymar, Ronaldo and Messi and then expect that when they go to watch League 2 Football.
