Nene Park is an hour from the center of Coventry in good traffic, if we got more than 3k Cov fans average over the season there I'd be amazed. Especially if we are there it will almost certainly be a season fighting against relegation.

The club as we know it wont survive a move like that imo, especially since any plan to build a stadium will take years. By the time its done we will have no fan base.

So is LONDON byh train - your point?

Under the regulations brought in specifically because of the MK DOns debacle, its walsall, the blues, villa, the baggies or fester (in terms of football stadia). That's it! So the only theoretical stadium appropriate is Walsall.

All of these are academic as it will be the ricoh"

Unless of course anyone can find another football stadium capable of holding 5000+ within 30 miles of the ricoh

If SISU do move venue then it's clear to me that SISU are happy to accept another demotion because that is the only way they can break even with the pitiful crowd they'd attract..

How moving venues equates with the league rules about not moving if it isn't in the interests of stakeholders beats me though, just sell up and get out...

This is where I get concerned by some posters wanting to cut costs even further-doing so will lumber us with relegation fodder. Infuriating to have to consider such a thing when the potential for success is enormous and just requires the departure of our beloved hedge fund.

I believe fans are concentrating too much on the move away being terrible for the club and the fans, whilst both are true, surely the main point would be that a move to Walsall/R & D or where ever would be even worse for SISU.Gates would drop drastically, and their revenue streams would fall away to virtually zero. They would still need to satisfy the league of plans to return to the Coventry area, which would involve more substantial costs.SISU may have made many mistakes and acted irrationally at times, but it is hard to believe they haven't looked at the cost of a move away,as being anything other than a costly and catastrophic choice. I would be amazed if this anything other than posturing, they maybe stupid but they are not that stupid.

Sure but whats the point in that posturing when we can all clearly see as you say that moving is ludicrous. They could hardly use such an obviously dumb plan to buff ACL. All it's done is make them look evil and stupid. I can't see what the plan is at all.

But even the posturing is utterly stupid and very costly as they are missing out on ST revenues and club shop revenues. SISU seem to make mistakes at virtually every turn. I guess it's not surprising, considering we are being run on a part-time basis by a Finnish-American woman with no interest in football and who lives in London. How the hell is that supposed to be a "value proposition"?

Well I would imagine they are waiting for the administrators report, and where it leaves them in relation to their exact ownership or part ownership of the club. The next step I'm guessing is either to try and exert pressure onto ACL on doing a deal for the Ricoh,or trying to exact the best possible price for an exit strategy. We will soon be running into time constaints with next years fixtures etc,I would imagine there will be enormous pressure brought to bear by the Football league to get some/any kind of deal. One thing the league won't want , is to lose a club a few weeks before the season starts. It may come down to who blinks first.

Even if the Hedge Fund left there's no guarantee of enormous or even moderate success. We were hardly on-the-up before the hedge fund arrived, were we? To blame them for years and years of mismangement is silly. They are just the latest in a long line of rubbish custodians. Who's to say the next lot will be any better. or worse?

I say so on the basis that any new owner could do no worse than the current incumbents. I have said plenty of times who I hold ultimately accountable but SISU have resoundingly failed in their attempts to make a success of things. I don't know anyone who sees a bright future under them.

I don't think anyone sees a bright future under SISU. I certainly don't. However, I won't hold my breath there being anything better with anyone else. I think while the present rental model at the RICOH is in place then the future will be bleak.

Perhaps it's just blind optimism on my part but I really do see promise in an owner coming in and uniting the club with ACL. The club could achieve an awful lot and seeing it in its current state is plain infuriating.

Nene Pk is 44 miles - no chance of that happening or being allowed.

34 miles to sixfields, which might be allowed, but might be in the same league.

Never, ever, ever underestimate the stupidity of SISU. They are proven in the Stupid Stakes like Stuart Hall is proven in the "Dodgy Uncle" stakes.

It has already been pointed out that the rental that has been offered is less than one thousand adults paying full price per game stop trying to use the rent as a smokescreen for the total destruction of CCFC by owners who want something for nothing and will risk that destruction if they dont get their way

So what? Compared to most council owned stadiums it still stinks.

If it becomes a sticking point with new owners will your view alter?

Stalemate is where two parties cant agree not when one of the parties has no intention from the outset to agree

So because one Council charges a certain amount, every other council should charge the same?

I'm pretty sure my council tax is different to someone who lives in a different part of the country, should I refuse to pay?

Do you understand the principles of supply and demand?

Please explain to me then as to why the laws of supply and demand state that ccfc should pay the same rent as your beloved Doncaster?

Well it's hardly supply and demand is it.

If supply is limited on a product price will increase as there are more consumers than product. So your basic statement is wrong. The only consumer demanding to play a full season on the turf at the ground is the football club. If the football club finds a venue offering a lower purchase price then clearly the supply is outstripping demand. Therefore the price is lowered.

Ultimately compare the price to other clubs, actually why not compare to Swansea and see what you find then tell me if the deal is valid.
