Lets just imagine that Fishface is able to grow the attendance at Sixfields over the season to a figure of say 5000-6000. Not unreasonable if the team continue to produce the results and performances seen recently. In these circumstances how would the end of season chat between the two Chairmen go?

Scenario 1.

Timmy; Been a good season has it not David. You have made a few quid and we have stuck two fingers up to those nasty ACL types. Same deal again for next season?
.
David Cardoza; Yes sure. Enjoy your summer holiday and see you in August.

Scenario 2.

Timmy; Well David it has been a very good season for us both BUT more for us than you. In fact our attendances have outperformed yours thus making us the dominant partner in this groundshare stuff and as such gives us the right to purchase the stadium at our price.

David; I know of no law that allows you to do that. In any event are you not planning on building your own stadium in Coventry?

Timmy; Well if there is currently no law then there should be; I'll get our lawyers on to that straight away. If then you don't agree expect some very expensive litigation. As for building our own stadium in Coventry; Joy has just told me that she has changed her mind on that; Women....you can't trust them can you?

Those attending Sixfields have every right to do so BUT please bear in mind the long term damage which I believe you are inflicting on CCFC

always possible...They want a stadium with opportunity to develop around it.

They aren't getting RICOH, and they certainly aren't building..

Following this conversation Odious do pursue the court action and finally acquire Sixfields, change the name of the football club to Northampton Sky Blue and thus both tema lose their identities. Franchise football is born!

don't buy it for a second that the plan is to buy sixfields!! plan a was the ricoh, plan B would be to say they are to build a new ground in a bid to get ACL to the table.

So the lesson is: if you go to Northampton, pantomime villainy might happen.

lets hope they have more than 2 plans then

Still think NTFC will look back on the day they agreed to loan the pitch to SISU and regret it

I just wish you'd forget the stupid 'politics' (and I am probably just as frustrated as you) because the future of OUR Club depends on Steven Pressley & his Staff & Players getting our support & commitment. They've stayed POSITIVE throughout and are delivering some tremendous 'attacking one & two touch football' that we should ALL GET BEHIND - IMHO!
If you don't go to Sixfields, it's YOU who'll be missing out, not me or my family (instead of 1 it'll be 3 next Sunday) for far too many years 'negatives' have affected my Club and much of that is due to the supporters! I JUST WANT TO TALK ABOUT FOOTBALL AND SUPPORT IT, regardless of WHO owns the Club or the Stadium! IMHO

Not saying that it is the plan; just pointing out the folly of following CCFC in Northampton. Having said that; Shitzu need to get out with some dosh and if they are able to create a Franchise football club with gates of some 5000 then surely that has some value.

Pointing out the folly by way of a double-cross that'd make a daytime soap opera writer blush?

I very much can't see us ever buying six fields especially when they are agreeing a deal with there council to expand it.

I think we will build a new ground and will return to the coventry area if they don't get the Ricoh.

In the meantime we need to get behind the players and even if not at six fields then why aren't we taking thousands to away games? Like most who said they would just go away dont look that way

Why don't you understand?
They will never come back to Coventry if we allow them to stay and play at Northampton. All your doing is putting nails in our coffin.
Even with these idiots in control I would buy a ST if we were at Ricoh.

I won't bore you with stories of my 35 years of support... Or how I long to take my son to see his team....in the city that bears its name.

If you can't see what unfurls before your very eyes and cannot see how the needs of the many outweigh those of the few then I'm not going to convince you.
Enjoy your time at six field.
Really I mean it.

Your tone is distasteful in implying that 'negatives' predominantly from supporters puts the club were it is today. I am missing out like thousands of others, for years I've worked Saturday mornings to fund supporting the club on a Saturday afternoon with my son and nephew, I'm the only driver of our party which makes sixfields a logistical nightmare, I don't care who the owners are and would love to watch the team but unless we're back in Coventry playing on the traditional Saturday afternoon its NOPM from me

Whilst your statements are noble do you not realise that you have already lost half of your club? The other half will be lost if playing in Northampton proves a success. That will be the case if others like you follow them. If that turns out to be the case do not come bleating on here about losing your club forever!!!!

Consider this:

The club makes a loss on 50% higher gates minimum than the maximum available at Northampton;

The club was budgeted to break even under McGinnity at gates of 22,000;

Northampton is smaller than Coventry;

Northampton already has an established team there;

Northampton has a successful Rugby team there.

Coventry City will make a loss at Northampton whether or not 5, 55, or 5,555 fans go. The option is not there for a long term future, it never has been and it never will be.

By all means don't go because you don't approve of the way the owners run the club, by all means don't go because Northampton is not Coventry.

But going will not encourage the club to stay there. it will either come back, or die.

You are totally missing my point. Shitzu want out, there is no way back to the Ricoh and therefore they have to somehow create a Franchise which is worth some cash. That can only happen if the move to Sixfields is a success thus allowing the formation of "Northampton Sky Blue", or any other name incorporating the two teams. The notion that they intend building a stadium of their own is exactly that; A NOTION. It will never happen so in some respects we have already lost our club.

So at first they wanted to play at Walsall and then at Birmingham. So it would have been Saddlers Sky Blue or Blue Sky Blue would it?

I don't need evidence - you made the claim - show some concrete evidence the plan is to create a franchise in Northampton.

A likely scenario is that northampton supporters start going to watch coventry games in numbers, given the type of football we are playing, a higher division, and sisu giving tickets away, and using other tactics to get the crowds up. The risk after 3 years is that moving back to cov. will mean smaller crowds if our supporters drift away over that time, thats why I think they will never come back, sisu will be better off now, building the support in northampton.

So, say Watford or someone were groundsharing the Ricoh with us you'd expect Cov fans to start watching and supporting them too?

Hold on, I thought SISU will sell all our players and we will be in the Conference in two years. Now you are saying SISU have a strategy to invest and create a winning team, which is it?

I guess as Simon, Tony and Lifelong have said Northampton fans will get in free to see us -- well that's what I've heard anyway.
