No chance Murphy will sign a new deal, think he'll be off to the Champ in the summer

Those fat signing on fees are hard to resist when there's no transfer fee involved. Money talks in football and is gradually turning me off the game.
Overpaid prima donnas, too many foreigner players affecting the chances of developing a decent national side, premium payments to non terrestrial tv stations, I could go on but it is Christmas ba humbug.

Fantastic news. He really does make the midfield whole. He's the final piece of the jigsaw. I have to say I was surprised it took us so long to give him a new deal last season, but now he's regained his fitness and his form, I can see him having a long stay here

Who to confirm is still out of contract at end of this season?

Moussa Murphy and Christie. Fleck and Leon (and a bunch more) next year.

Just hope it's not like FM. I couldn't get any of those three to sign despite promotion :/

Great news about Thomas. He really is blossoming into what Liverpool probably saw in him. Just need the others. All these little things just keeps the feel good factor within the team which helps. Christie siging would be a major coup.

3 big ones end this year then in murphy, moussa and Christie, We need to at least offer them deals. 3 players better than Coventry city but if we sign them at least we could command a bigger fee. I think Christie will sign being from Coventry and wants the best for the club as have the other 4 youngers. Is murphy really championship level 1st choice? not for me. moussa same, both be good squad championship players as murphy would be a number 2 and moussa a squad player instead of the main man. They may as well sign and gaurentee themselves a deal and if someone wants them then a fee would secure this and everyone wins.

Will develop further and become a top midfielder, currently doing a vital role alongside Fleck, just needs to start weighing in with some goals.

I think we're more likely to lose Christie than the others. He's had his head turned by interest from the higher leagues.

Honestly, with Philips, Clarke and Willis in backup, if he hasn't signed by Christmas I'd sell him for as much as we can get.

From speaking with Waggott personally, he's said that Christie won't sign a new deal while we're in L1. He said that he wants to keep him till the end of the season and 'achieve something' rather than flog for less than value in January. We'll get compensation at the end of the season anyway.

Yeah thats the way i saw it - Christie has ambition to be in higher league so will stay till end of season at least. If we get promoted you never know, depends who comes in and how much they offer him then i guess.

Same is probably for the others, if we go up we stand a chance, if we stay in league 1 they're probably off.

I think you'll have to ask your friend joy about all this , considering your one of the only people to meet her.

christie not the finished article, be nice to keep him for a year or 2 longer, it may boil down to promotion this year.

why is that ? nobody knows what our owners think , so planning ahead at this club is not worth it , kingsharvest is one of the few people to ever meet/see Sepella so not a stupid comment at all.
