At Swindon according to Sky, made me chuckle a bit, fair play to him though.

Good luck to him, he'll probably have a decent season with them without the expectation we put on him here.

We have too many Thomas's... it would have been confusing.

We must have had at least 7 "John Thomas's" late last season.

Not sure what's funny? There's a good player in there, suffered a major lack of confidence and suffered with injuries. Needed a move away from here to re-ignite his career. Good luck to him.

'blagged'

Don't be daft, he's a decent enough player who has stagnated and was unfairly criticised by the fans. I'm not in the least bit surprised he has joined another league one club.

As long as they dont expect him to play more than 1/3rd of the season and plays like he hasnt kicked a ball in anger for 5 years he will be fine. Fair play to the lad he has found a fresh start but there are better players in our squad to warrant a wage.

There was enough there for Liverpool to want a proper look at him, it just clearly wasn't going anywhere with him here. Fresh start may be what he needs.

Good luck to him of course. Don't have anything against him but he was truely awful so let's wish him well but no good for us.

I would have offered him a new deal before Fleck, the expectation was too high I thought from all the talk when he was coming through that he was the same sort of player as Gerrard.

Hope he does OK in every game but against us.

Must have a good agent though as he gets him long term deals every time.

I wouldn't wish any badness on anyone, but this is definately one of my more favourite news articles (if true and he goes there).

Best for all parties that he's as far away from our squad as is humanly possible.

There is a decent player in there. Started well last year and injury set him back. If ever a player needed a clean slate and a fresh start. Good luck to him.

Great news for Conor. I hope this is the kickstart that gets his career going because it was going nowhere fast with us. He does have talent but with the rejection from Liverpool, relegation from the Championship then falling down the pecking order in the squad his confidence took a massive hit which we all could see in his gameplay. Typical example of Coventry putting too much weight on young shoulders. May this be a lesson in the future that relying on talent from our academy can have lasting negative effects on the graduates. Although considering we won't have an academy by the end of this season we won't have to worry about that for long

He's a natural athlete who didn't fulfil his potential with us. Good luck to him.

Good luck to him, he definitely needed a move.

Not sure I would have risked 3 years with his recent injury issues, especially the concussions.

He was on a fortune here. An informed source told me 3k per week basic, which for a player who did very little for years is an extravagence we couldn't afford.

Was the highest earner as he agreed a new contract in the championship relegation season. Approx 4K per week. Apparently no player at CCFC will be on more than 1.5K a week from this season....

That's per day I might add, not per week.

He also got a free nit comb, a pair of George jogging bottoms and a 3 month entertainment pass for NowTV.

Fair play to him, I never really rated him and clearly Liverpool changed their minds half way through the year on his ability. There must be something about him so hopefully this shows but just not against us

He has been on trial at Swindon so they have seen him in training. Last year was a disaster for him with unfortunate injuries. He has played over a hundred games for city and is still only 22. Most players best years are 25-30. So he could be a good deal for Swindon. I think he needs a clean slate and a fresh challenge. He joined City when he was 7.

Good luck to him.

You clearly never seen him play, utter dross. Won't even make Swindons first team much either.

"He has played over a hundred games for city"
We never had a choice but to play him, because Pressley kept fucking up every signing he made then bombed them...

But he still has the experience of a hundred games. Why are you so bitter about two people who have left the club? I would also say you have misjudged both.

If there is talent in there its been buried pretty deep for a while. No goal threat, no presence, a reasonable passer of the ball. I'll never forget his 4 yard miss against his now employers when they spanked us at home a couple of seasons ago . Seems a nice lad. Good luck to him.
