just wondering why the ricoh would want a head groundsman if ccfc are not going to be playing there next season :facepalm:
Would this be the same CCFC who have a leader in Tim Fisher, who said on the radio that he always means what he says and then sits back and wonders why ACL took his liquidation threat seriously.:facepalm:but i thought ccfc said there was no way back and we were definately NOT playing ther next season so the head grounds man must have the easiest job in the world maintaing a pitch where no one plays:claping hands::claping hands::claping hands:
that is exactly what i am getting atMaybe he knows something we don't, and that he will be cutting the grass for CCFC next season.

Great someones written on the pitch hope its:blue:Read between the lines.
here is what acl have to say about how ccfc starved the groundsman of funds which resulted in the poor quality pitch last year.. http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/n...gets_in_dig_at_citys_pitch_796792/index.shtml
None of the above during the seasonSurely pitch maintenance should be acl responsibility.
Not clubs fault it has rugby matches, pop concerts and loads of Olympic Games on it.
None of the above during the season
The first concert held at the arena was Bryan Adams on 23 September 2005. The bar in the Eon Lounge, overlooking the pitch, was named 'The Bryan Adams Bar' after the Canadian rocker. The venue played host to the Heineken Cup semifinal match between Northampton Saints and London Wasps on Sunday 22 April 2007. London Wasps (who went on to win the cup) also played at the Ricoh Arena in the Heineken Cup again against Munster on 10 November 2007 narrowly winning 24–23. Saracens have announced that they will play their semi final against Munster at the arena. The stadium hosted its first ever American football game on 6 May 2007, when the Coventry Cassidy Jets beat then British national champions London Olympians 27–20.[16] The Jets had hoped to play their inaugural EFAF Cup game against Madrid Bears on 29 April but they were forced to change venue. The Heineken Cup the previous week to the Madrid game had led to CCFC objecting in case of damage to the pitch.the rugby semi finals were during the season a couple of years back weren't they? Also most pitches are relayed over the summer so having events during the close season will also impact on the groundsman's work.
PWKH said that ACL have a responsibility to protect the pitch and do so at concerts. At the RHCP they had some hard covering down to protect the pitch and I assume that they use this for all the concerts. No idea about the rugby though, isn't our pitch partly artificial though which should help mitigate damage.the rugby semi finals were during the season a couple of years back weren't they? Also most pitches are relayed over the summer so having events during the close season will also impact on the groundsman's work.
the money cut from £100,000 to £25,000
but the grass wasn't cut
Is that figure comparable to other teams in our league?
Is that the Jewish tribute bloke or did you mean Springsteenwhen's local lad Bruce Springstein on at the ricoh
