Could be REECE BROWN destined for CCFC (Cov City Mad) - brother of Wes Brown - another emerging talent good for us.

So I've read. It looks like he's used to sharpening his skills alongside a better quality of player than he'll hopefully be facing in League One:

Simple one isn't it? He is used to playing with world-class players, and therefore should cope well with the demands of lesser quality players?!?

Todays signing is Reece Brown. Who will it be tomorrow? I've not known so many players come in the door for a long time. Shame it wasn't last season, we may have stayed up.

Brown joins

Coventry City have signed highly-rated Manchester United defender Reece Brown on a season long loan.

The 20-year-old will join his new team-mates for pre-season training next week after the Sky Blues agreed a deal with United.

Manager Andy Thorn said Brown, who has enjoyed loan spells with Oldham Athletic, Doncaster Rovers and Bradford City previously, would play a big part in the coming season.

He said: "This is another really good signing for us. Reece is a massive talent and we are delighted to be able to bring him here for the season.

"At six foot three, he's big and athletic and can play at the back and in midfield which is a big plus for us.

"The fact that we looked after Ollie Norwood so well last season has stood us in good stead with Manchester United and we are grateful that Sir Alex Ferguson and his staff have put their faith in us to do exactly the same with Reece.

"This another important signing for the club in what has been a busy summer."

another player in. 7 players in2 weeks are we sure cov haven't been taken over?

I think this is a great signing for us may be young but if at man u must have something about him.

Last season we carried too many highly paid wasters. Now they are gone its freed up lots of budget.

Looking on other relavant sites, both Donny and Oldham fans don't rate him that highly, though how the feck Donny fans can judge him on two games is very unfair.
I have a feeling its just because he is Wes's brother, thats the cause of the bad reviews, though if he turns out as good as him, in my eyes he'll do well in League 1 and Championship.

To sum up my research, i would say Doncaster and Oldham have quite a few knobends as supporters

Welcome Reece to the good ship skyblue, lets sail together, and conquer all who dare stand in our way

How many centre backs do we need for goodness sake?

I'd like a decent striker signing in support of Cody McDonald. Either to play alondside him or be a suitable alternative.
Some pace out wide would be a good option too with some creative play maker.

So far we look very defensive thinking.

Still need another forward I would go for Derek Riordan although think he is already on trial at MK Dons

He's hell of a quick mind, could play well off of Ball! And he'll definitely be looking to prove himself after flopping at notts.

We're still at 10-1 to win the league with ladbrokes. Get in quick while the odds are high. When we have signed a couple of strikers next week, we will be odds on favourites.

Having said that they also have Leicester 6-1 favourites to win the league this season. Can't see that happening and neither can most leicester fans I talk to.

That was the same last season if I remember rightly? They were joint favourites or 2nd favourites to go up?!

Starting to get a little excited, second signing i'm very happy about. Think we have learnt from last season, another 3 more players and I think we could be in with a serious shout of the play offs.

Not sure where Brown will play, think that Malaga & that black geeza (can't remember his name) must have been brought in on the promise of first choice pairing. Brown to play along side Thomas in the middle I reckon.

11/1 on sky bet Rich, 7/2 for promotion looks very good too.

Clinton Morrison is also joint 3rd favourite for top scorer.

Today's rumoured departure is Richard Wood. Who will it be tomorrow? I've not known so many players go out the door in a long time. Oh wait, yes I have, it was last season. That's why we didn't stay up.

See what I did there Rich?
