Doubt if he came in with a list TBH. Even if he’s watched us he should want to see how we take to his system first and then look to plug gaps. Will likely only be the odd loan or free that he’s aware of anyway in January.

This job is as important to Lampard as it is to the club. He's under massive scrutiny everywhere as to if he's good enough.

Good luck Frank.

Not fit to lace Mark Robins boots, let alone manage this football club. He’s been appointed because he’s Frank Lampard, he’s a name, he’s done nothing in football management that gives me any hope or excitement at this appointment. Sooner he is gone the better

I think in the UK there are way more unsuccessful managers who were top players than those who do well. For us, Butcher and Reid immediately come to mind. Strachan's record was mixed, Milne was OK and Stuart Pearce was pretty poor. The further back you go, the worse it was with Managers like Hurst and Bobby Charlton. The odd ones like Jack Charlton were good but the exception rather than the rule. I feel it is a little different with foreign managers like Pep and Zidane.

Not surprised at all. It will surely have been spoken about but it would be daft to reveal in a press conference before a ball has been kicked on match day.

Double edged sword for me. Would I have gone for Lampard - no. Do I think he’ll do well - no. But he manager of our club so I back him and hope he proves me utterly wrong

I take it Robins' shit doesn't stink then!

Mark Robins 1st time around fucked us off when Huddersfield came calling.

He managed Rotherham Utd and Barnsley and didn't pull any trees up there and then he had a 3 year deal with us but jumped ship after 5 months, yes FIVE MONTHS, less than 160 days.

He was pretty meh for 2 seasons at Huddersfield Town before mutually agreeing to leave ( we all know what that means) and then went to Scunthorpe United for a season or two before being sacked.

Came back to us and owed us big style.

FFS he was hardly a resounding success before he came back, granted he's repaid what he owed numerous times over with 7 years of fantastic unforgettable times but all good things come to an end.

FFS give Lampard some fucking slack, why the vitriol?
