Wright left the BBC before due to unhappiness over being portrayed as the jester Collymore mentions so there is some merit in what he says. Noticed it less with Wright since his return though, I think now punditry's a bit pally so everyone's like that instead of the dour seriousness of Hansen.

Whatever people may think about Collymore, he's one of the few pundits to tell it like it is... I was pretty devastated when he quit the Talk Sport show with Danny Kelly. That pair and James Richardson on MOTD would rattle a few cages, a lot better than the inoffensive clowns they have on it at the moment.
