A family member( season ticket holder at Cov) said he thought he was ok, just made a few mistakes towards the end which cost them a few points. Other than that he believes he’ll do well in league one under less pressure.
He deserves a break does Collins. Not on it for championship level by any means but turned up and never shirked away from having a go when his confidence was low. Will rebuild at lower league hopefully.
And anyway, replacing with whom? Midfield is the area least requiring strengthening; presumably we Allen wouldn't command much of a fee, so why spend transfer budget on an area that doesn't warrant it?
Letting Allen go now would make no sense. If Sheaf and Eccles were fit then maybe, but as they're not, no.
I think the midfield does need strengthening,we got Grimes and he has shown quality so we could do with a player with equal or better quality to compliment him, its our engine room and the link between protecting our defence and providing for our attack. If we want to really progress that must be our aim
Only because others couldn't take advantage of our poor run in. Lost 5 and drew 1 of the last 10. I think we'd probably have done better with Matty than the batchman really but I'd have played him over Simmo most of time.

It certainly is the strongest part of our team BUT as much as Torp is ok for me I still think a good upgrade/midfield general would certainly push us a little further in games as would a feckin better defence, its not even Christmas yet but they are giving presents out to bloody everyone

Defending set pieces has been our weak link, and we could still be more ruthless in front of goal.
But midfield hasn't been a problem so far, other than not having fresh legs to throw in against Oxford when we looked leggy in the centre during the second half.
But the Oxford game saw us concede from set pieces and also saw Wright miss an absolute sitter when he hit the bar late on.
So it was our usual issues that cost us 2 points, not our midfield.
Im more than happy with Torp, and I think.hes still improving under Lampard.
