Quality finish by JOB, we've been pretty poor up until the goal. These are poor and here for the taking. Let's home that was our poor half.

Some good performances so far. Reda makes a difference at the back, stokes did great for the goal, Proswitch getting stuck in and I think Barton setting the pace.

If he is setting the pace that's why people were nodding off

Ward very impressive. Fleck played quite well, as has JOB, apart from a couple of mistakes. Reda very assured at the back. Barton hit and miss as per usual. Nouble looking dangerous, but making the wrong decisions at times. Proschwitz working hard. Willis struggling. Stokes looking better coming forwards and a delightful pass inside for the goal. Pennington playing well too.

I agree some good individual performances, it just doesn't quite translates into a good team performance IMO, especially the first half an hour.

If we could end the days football now I'd be very happy indeed.

We may not be playing particularly well, but I can't remember them even having a shot or any substantial possession.

Really highlights how poor this league is.

Good to see Johnson back. Better than Martin. Gives you so much more when on the ball.

Without playing that well though Stu, we have been well in control. Have Colchester even had a shot?

Well in control that first half, but what the hell are Colchester doing? I thought they needed to win this game. They have seemed to be happy to sit back and play for a draw.

City well deserving of the lead.

Expect a big change in tactics from Colchester second half. City need to be very wary of that.

Just seem to want to lump it up front at every opportunity and isn't working for them fortunately

Colchester are horse shit. If we can't take them to the cleaners might as well give up

Yep

Seems they are waiting for a City mistake or hoping a hopeful punt goes over the top.of our defence.

Might have worked if Reda hadn't have been playing.

Co-commentator with Eakin (not Cedric Roussell) just said that 50 points should be enough to stay up !!!!

If anybody stays up with 50 points I'll buy the entire crowd a pint

Yes I think Martin would be a lot more panicky, although can never be sure which Martin is going to turn up. Still Glad he was the defender dropped though

Been impressed with Reda today. Just what we need at the back, strength and muscle and a bit of guile

A second goal for us could put this one to bed.

Yes they had a least one -Burge made a low save to his right from the edge of the box. I agree we've been in control, Colchester are awful.

Another good save from Burge after we give away possession easily in the middle of the park and Colchester counter

Need to wake up. They were always going to come flying out.

It wasn't a convincing save at all Bf the defending was dire.

They packed modfield in the first half but have put the wide players forward now

Game on
