I always liked Cody but he has been unfit most of the time he has been here and has never been given a run of games it will be good to see him get a run in the team now.

Agree, think him and Clarke could do a job up top together in a 442.

Doubt it. Carsley said that he took Elliot off to preserve him for Tuesday. I would like it to happen but it won't he will be a sub.

hopefully him and leon will start putting enough chances away to cover for a poor leaky defence!!!

Funny how absence makes the heart grow fonder. Hopefully he'll get his arse in gear this time.

That said, we don't suit 4-4-2 regardless of the strikers.

WHY!? Wilson is shite, scored 1 in 17 on loan at Kettering, he's not good enough to make it, harsh, but true. No way is he better than either Cody OR Elliott, that's saying something!

That said, we shouldn't even play 2 upfront! But Carsley will name an unchanged side, he rates Elliott, who is Thorn's David Bell!

Wilson was very bright coming off the bench on Saturday showed commitment, pace and got in good positions, can't comment on how he played Wednesday as I wasn't there but others said he was bright when came on that night. Also at Kettering he was played as a winger not a striker so was never going to score a bucket load.

Will he live in Keresley again?

The return of the mac, i still feel he could do very well at this level, and hopefully him and Clarke click straightaway, and some of these chances we keep missing start to go in.

Therefore i'mgoing for a 3-1 away win for the mighty skyblues

He's regained his form and his fitness. Now is his chance of trying his trade in this league. If it doesnt happen this time, its not gonna happen. Now is the perfect time, good form, fitness found, i think he's worth another shot. Good luck Cody, we need you to score

Cody may get a better opportunity under Carsley. For whatever reason he was not given enough opportunity here before. He had been injured, came in and out while unfit yet scored vital goals. He's a goal poacher and I still rate him easily at this level and we are making plenty of chances that the likes of Clarke are not able to convert enough of. No critisim of Clarke, he has scored plenty. Just that perhaps it could be argued he should be getting hatfuls with the level of chances we get. Cody should help that issue.
Elliott is a fine player but again not prolific in front of goal.

Personally having recalled him I would start him. That's the kind of confidence boost you give him while enjoying his good form with the Gills. Being recalled may not of been what he actually wanted unless he is given his chance now to prove himself. So let him play. I'd personally play him in the hole to feed off Clarke's shoulder. He'll be in that 6 yard box whenever Sheff or Baker get that ball in there.

Hope he does well. But the fact we are now pinning our hopes on him confirms the arse has fallen out of our season.

He's scoring record at this level is dire - worse than Elliot. He has had plenty of opportunity he just lacks ability.

I believe Cody is good enough for league one.
This time round under different tactics / formations he could do well. Who knows.
I'm keen to see him and Leon up front together, I think that's a partnership that should do well for us.

..you don't have to agree grendel. Opinions are shared.

It's true he was unfit when played. It's true he still scored. Was he given his chances when on the bench enough? No. So can't agree with your conclusions there.

But like I said it's opinions, you have yours and I have mine. The proof of the pudding will be in what happens when he is given his chance then won't it? You on the other hand reject this idea saying he is 'dire'. What I've seen of Cody would not make me draw that distinction.

He gives us more options , I don't think he will start tomorrow , but I think he gives us more options later on in the game , , great to have him back

We may finally get the Cody/Leon partnership we should have had since the day DMC went.

Maybe Malaga as well which would be good.

If he ends up scoring a few goals I would be willing to look past his poor record to date (sorry Paxman, it's his own fault he hasn't been match fit).

I'm going to back him to finish top scorer, he was always top of our list, far better than Le Fondre.

Whys everyone slagging of Elliott? He's been brilliant when he's played loads of energy and can play attacking mid or striker. Clarke should be dropped for Cody

Clarke has scored more in his last 5 games than McDonald for us all season. McDonald has zero ability with his back to goal, an awful first touch and no pace.

Just wow. Elliott has given the ball away virtually every time he's had the fucker last 3 games and hasn't scored a single goal since Oldham, Clarke has scored 3 on the bounce! Ridiculous post! He is truly an awful player.
