Well there is no guarantee he will score goals but from last seasons highlights he looks better than Le fondre.

I just hope the club confirm it soon, the longer it drags out the less likely it becomes.

Not sure if Peterborough will sign him. they have just completed the signing of that striker from Macclesfield.

Freddy could finish in L2..O'Donovan could finish in L1. What makes everyone think he can step up? If we end up with Parkin and him but no Lukas, my bleeding season ticket can stay unused for the rest of the season. Had enough of this.

Parkin is not coming. I agree he could be a dud but we haven't got the finance to get proven championship scorers.
I think Mcdonald is a much better option than Parkin.

Well that'll do me! I'd take Lukas and McDonald, but not McDonald instead of Lukas. And whilst I'm glad Parkin aint coming, it makes it look like he was valued at "zero" in the Turner deal...great business, SISU!

Yeah, I didn't get that either? £750k + Parkin or £750k without anyone... Fantastic business! I also know he hasn't played much in 10 months but he was quite easily the best defender in the championship before that and I swear he signed a new deal last season. Add to that, we're meant to be building a team around the likes of Turner. Brilliant SISU, once again Bravo

at 9k a week, on a 3 year deal, Parkin would have cost us just shy of 1.5 million, plus signing on fee and agents fee.

McDonald at 400k and 5k a week will cost us 1.2 million or so, plus he will have a sell on fee

no brainer really !

Am I the only one that gets the feeling that we won't sign McDonald due to the incredible silence coming from the club?

We'll have to wait until he's actually played for us too confirm he's signed.

No, you're not! I can definitely see nothing happening.

By the way, Turner deal's not confirmed on either our or Cardiffs official site.

Maybe the clubs are still negotiating the fee because Parkin backed out of the deal?

Yeah, maybe. I wasn't suggesting some conspiracy, just think the telegraph have been a bit premature!

Silence is good, just let us no when the deal is signed and sealed.

I'm getting more and more nervous as time ticks on. Half-expecting the deal to fall flat because we offer him peanuts for wages.

The general opinion is that he is not good enough for the premiership but could bad 10-15 goals at championship level and if in a decent championship side 18-20.

Cody's goal video looks promising.

I know it's two leagues below us BUT he certainly knows how to put them away
and he appears to possess the following attributes:
  • two footed
  • good with his head
  • quite pacey
  • converts one on ones
  • can score solo goals
  • available for tap ins
  • 25 years of age
Career goals: 82 in 167 games = a projected 22+ goals in a 46 game season !!!

Certainly one to watch and could yield more results alongside a big man

Waiting for news that McDonalds move has fallen through, folllowed by the usual bullshit from Clouting & co about " we tried so hard" & "bitterly dissapointed"..
Then assurances that when the loans open we will get quality Premier loans in..

We don't do anything with ease at City. I expect SISU are haggling with him over £50.

Just waiting for that headline confirming this deal has also fallen through and we're left with 2 players leaving and no new faces.

Hmm, interesting that he had his medical at lunchtime but we've heard nowt yet.

Discussing personal terms maybe. I'm sure the two sides will be close. His agent will start the bidding at a wage of £12,000 a week and we will start from a position of £50 a week and and two balti pies.
