thats what we need and its what he needs a dream start, a goal straight away in his first game. He looks the business on yourtube, people are saying about the league diferences but they just dont count with all players, he looks like a very natural goalscorer and his season with the gills will have given him confidence, i cant understand why Norwich let him go to be honest unless they know something we dont.

Score 3 in training the other day, don't know how much we can read into that but atleast he knows where the net is! Lol
Worth a cheeky bet me thinks!

He's unproven at this level. I hope he does start banging them in but 20+ goals at league two doesn't mean much in the championship.

I wouldn't even worry about the training thing. Fingers crossed he can step up, we need him to. Seasons like his last season can only make him a better player too.

He needs to score in his first 2 or 3 games certainly. He'll be wondering if he's up to the step up to the Championship as much as we are and the last thing we want is it playing on his mind.

Who was the last player we had who scored on his debut?

Even though I hate them, it's a good thing we've got an international break before the game. It gives him time to settle in, and gives the rest of the players the chance to work out how he plays and how they should supply him.

the leauge difference doesnt matter that much because if you look at alot of the teams in our leauge they are bringing lower leauge players in anyway so it balances itself out apart from teams like the hammers and incester who have the money for ex prem players ofcourse

If he nets 10 goals this season that would be a pretty good. Need Juke to chip in with 10-15 goals to if were gna finish in 18th

Stern John scored on his debut! Cody looks a prospect he played in the champ with Norwich when Sammy was there, played 8 games !!!

Even if he does stutter initially in banging the goals in straghtaway his general contribution on the park will more than compensate for this bringing other players in to score goals

If he does get a brace against Derby, he will be our joint top goal scorer of the season.. How sad is that?!

I'm just hoping he settles well in the team and the goals come when they come. Too much pressure to expect goals instantly.

Can't wait for the Derby game now, hopefully a couple of chants are made for Cody Mac. (I can't really think of any that fit his name unfortunatly)

Must admit I was thinking of placing a bet on this. He's more likely than any other fooker on our team!

Can't argue with that.

Don't get carried away. He may do well, he may not, he has to overcome the "Sky Blues effect", sinks many as striker wthout trace.

The main thing I imagine that he has after his recent form that most of the squad don't is confidence. Lets hope we don't knock it out of him too quickly.
