I like to think of ACL as an eBay seller just before Christmas with one last remaining Buzz Lightyear or Cabbage Patch Doll. I like to think of CCFC as a desperate parent wanting to make their child happy and see their happy smiling face on Christmas morning. I like to think of the Ricoh as that Buzz Lightyear or Cabbage Patch Doll.

Now, I'm not explicitly saying ACL "screwed the cub" but I think they saw an opportunity to maxmise their income and took advantage.

Boycott this meeting I reckon. We won't get told anything we don't already know, nothing that holds any truth anyway.

If the administrator however calls a meeting, it would be worth attending

they have every right to mitigate their losses and could easily argue why the lease is broken to enble the stadium be rented out for other use (trouble is it is directly in opposition to its previously stated legal position) Certainly this statement by TF is again determined at showing they are building for the future unfortunately.

I don't think anyone set out to screw the club but the truth is the experiment that has been ACL and CCFC at the Ricoh has not worked. Unfortunately the side that has done very well out of it now have this convuluted theory that they should be lord and master over how, when and at what level the other company is allowed to operate or come back to the table. It all needs to come back together under one umbrella which benefits the club and the people of Coventry.

I hope the SBT have nothing to do with this. It would be a good headline to counter TF's PR that he is still running the club.. they should ask the administrator to clarify why TF is still a director of CCFC Ltd & what his role is.. if he has none why is he still a director?

Why did no one at the club want to accept the suggestion from the CCFC board member for a rent that moved up or down as the club did through the leagues? That to me would have made more sense.

not without breaking the lease and ending their claim no............. the lease is no broken as yet

of course it would be interesting if they did that and had another tenant ready to sign (ie not the SISU owned football club)

So in your "family scenario" where do SISU fit in?

As a suggestion - SISU knock on the door of the "desperate parents'" house and tell them that they need to come in so as to give them glad tidings (well, you did say it was Xmas) of their wonderful lottery win. However, once through the door the evil SISU looks around for something of value that can be "liberated" from the house. Finding nothing, SISU then stumbles and knocks over the Xmas tree setting in chain a series of events that ends with the house being burned to the ground.

How's that sound?

I don't think anyone disagrees with that.........................it hardly compares though with the financial misdemeanors of the hedge fund, crippling interest charges, multi million pound admin fees all the while pleading poverty and making drastic cuts on the playing side of the club. Unforgivable !

The club screwed itself as you are well aware of Torch, not only by racking up huge debt and selling its shareholding, but then by demanding that the rent not be allowed to fluctuate depending on crowds and league status. When SISU first took over they had a real chance to hit this on the head but Ranson openly stated that 'buying the Higgs stake won't be the golden egg some think it is'-and it's that kind of thinking which is so hard to fathom. You talk about SISU and the club as separate entities-as far as virtually everybody else is concerned, they are not.

One slight problem with this OSB. SISU no longer employ Pitch.

Publicly funded ACL do still employ London-based PR firm Webber Shandwick though. A firm which charges thousands of pounds per hour.

Nothing wrong with employing PR firms anyway. But thought I should address this in the interest of balance

Before the fixtures come out (beginning of next month?) the "club" (whoever that may be) has to tell the Football League
1. That it's able to fulfil its fixtures, and
2. Where its home fixtures will be played.

The word coming out of Brum, Leicester & Walsall is that no-one's asked them about ground sharing.
Places like Hinckley need to be approved by the League as suitable for L1 football.
The administrator doesn't tell the court where he believes the Golden Share was until 16th May.

That means that if Fisher & Holdings get the go-ahead from the administrator's findings, they have 2-3 weeks to

conclude an agreement with another ground somewhere,
Get Football League approval for a ground share.
get that ground approved (if it's not already) and
persuade the League that they are capable of fulfilling their fixtures

Not to mention filing the accounts so they can come out of administration, preferably with a CVA and therefore no points deduction, so that Pressley can sign the players he wants.

That's a lot to do in that time.

(or will they just go back cap-in-hand to ACL and ask to play at the Ricoh?)

What's more concerning is nobody can buy a season ticket even if they wanted to, so where's the cash to keep the club going coming from?

What investors' money? The hedge fund? I don't know its parameters for investment, but I doubt if they stretch to paying the administration and legal costs of another company controlled by the fund manager. And I presume the bit about the 'whatever the cost' investor backing was tongue in cheek - unless it could be JS herself once she has sold her house.

You can debate all you want. The only key issue here is 'who has the golden share'?

When that is made clear we will see the side that has it scrambling for a deal to play at the Ricoh.
That could be a new owner if CCFC Ltd are confirmed to hold the golden share rights.

If it is legally somehow held by the SISU backed CCFC (Holdings) Ltd then we are back to square one.

My main thought is the stance SISU have maintained only suggest they believe still that they have the right to or indeed hold the 'golden share'.

Clearly the time it is taking to confirm this means there is a lot of ambiguity in it. I expect the lawyers of all sides have their various reasoning on it, but which one is ultimately right?

Why doesn't TF just come on here and answer questions, like PWKH, you might not agree with what he has to say but at least he makes the effort. All these meetings with selected fans do is allow pre selected questions to be asked and pre written answers to be given. A healthy dose of cynicism is the approach i take in these things. Now on to the picture of the girl a few pages ago, i like it but i'm thinking she would look better with a pearl necklace.
