Coventry City remains committed to conclusion of an acceptable deal with ACL
Despite the recent campaign by ACL to force the football club into a deal that would be completely disadvantageous, Coventry City Football Club remains committed to work through to the conclusion of a deal that is acceptable to both parties.
This deal must take into consideration match day revenues to support the need for a squad which is strong and competitive and yet still complies with Financial Fair Play and salary cap rules.
Therefore, we again propose to invite a leading expert in football finance - such as Deloittes - to act as mediator and help drive through a deal which makes sense.
to be honest my initial reaction is "is that it" ........... but I suppose what else can they say
comments
- bit rich complaining about campaigns to get objectives, seems to me both sides have indulged in that
- please explain why it is completely disadvantageous,
- if you believe a deal was shaken on and that TF said on radio the £400k deal was acceptable then surely parts of this can be settled and commitment given to deal with the rest
- didnt ACL say that all match day turnover was to be allocated to CCFC in their statement ? Doesnt that immediately help the FFP rules? In L1 and L2 FFP is not new proposals this year
- not sure if people realise but Deloittes spent weeks looking at the figures before Xmas when the Yorkshire Bank was the ACL problem. Surely they have already looked at match day incomes etc ? If not what were the parties paying for ? surely conclusions have already been reached on income sources and viability?
- Think ACL have reached their bottom line ..... the only negotiation point is the sum to be paid to cover April 2012 until now rent and how it is paid.
- The match day incomes apparently require due diligence - yet apparently will be disclosed on an "open book" basis.... that is full disclosure of the amounts and records to all parties involved. The key factor to these incomes is usage which is outside of the control or influence of ACL
- in what ways does the proposed deal not make sense and why, explain
Would be interesting if the full details of that heads of agreement from 29/01 were published wouldnt it

And then you have the guy from ACL saying (and the fool Bob Brolley repeating it parrot fashion) that the club had been offered a rent of £120K a year. No, it's not. It's £400K still twice what anyone else pays.
People criticize SISU for spin. Look at ACL.
acl have said its £120k net after costs. iim presuming these costs are matchday revenues. as for deloittes if fishers so desperate for them to be involved then instead of airing it on the radio do it in reality.

ACL claims final offer would reduce current the current £1.2million annual rent package to just £150,000
