Put in the Christmas order for the family. Well tried to but the order was over the maximum weight. Didn't even know there was one?! Why not just automatically split the order into two deliveries?

I literally wasn't able to pay until I deleted items. It was like check in at RyanAir. Couldn't even save some items to check them out on another order. Just had to keep deleting stuff until it finally let me pay.

CBA to do another order for the deleted stuff so lost sales there and now I have to explain to my kids why will be no exclusive Coventry City FC Official Cheeseboard on the Christmas table this year. I hope you are happy now Doug .

Unfortunately, it still wants a massive makeover . The shop is too small & cramped for space, for shirts etc to be properly displayed .
A Quick Look at the Leicester club shop , shows how things should be displayed & with so much merchandise on show , instead of on line only .
Hopefully Doug will sort it out before long ?

Third party couriers have certain weight limits, then the club would have to absorb the cost of splitting it into two deliveries . This is why you don’t get that option

You clearly never went to the club shop opposite Tesco’s in the retail park.

We are a victim of our own success, yes there is a lot of stock in the shop and on occasion it’s busy to navigate but from where we were 10 years ago it’s on a different level.

Not sure on the logistics of making the shop bigger, maybe that’s why they now have 2 other retail units around the ground.

It was a £300+ order. With free delivery at £100+ if split into 2 orders was still free delivery. Instead the club just lost about £60.

Even if they could warn when up to the weight limit when adding items would be better than getting to pay and only then finding all you can do is keep deleting items until you hit whatever the weight limit is.

Credit where it’s due. I ordered a load of stuff in the Black Friday sale. It all arrived in a couple of days and I’m really pleased with it. I also went into the shop before the Charlton game and it was so busy it was difficult to see stuff properly.. Definitely an improvement on the old shop though.

Kids home shirt that I ordered last week hasn't arrived (other stuff on same order has). Looking at the site y/day shirt in that size went out of stock online. But was deffo in stock for a few days days after ordering. Think they might have over sold stock.

Anyone had similar news and already know if they are likely to be back before Xmas or should I just give up on this gift and tell the lad to choose something else?

Will ask the club tomorrow if no one already knows here.

Generally, if you have placed the order and it has gone through, you'll get it.
I had same situation with some of the kids GK tops.
Worth dropping them a message through the message centre - will take a few days for a reply though.

Ordered the pre season training kit for my boy on Black Friday and a retro hoodie for myself, was still processing on Sunday evening so I sent them a message via the website. Had a response yesterday confirming that they’d checked with the warehouse and none of the items were in stock, so they’d cancelled and issued a refund for £92 (which of course I’m still waiting for). Today I had a discounted gonk and duffle bag turn up.

Checked the website out of curiosity and all items listed as being available and in stock. Piss poor. I’m wondering now if i hadn’t bothered to message and prompt them, whether they’d have just ignored the order and hope I’d never chase them for it.

I've been trying to get hold of youth sized gk kit for a while for the lad and was told by those in the club shop that they are on back order, and YTH away kit etc and unlikely to be in before xmas. The "tip" i was given was to check online regularly as they will appear on there before they are in the shop...

Club got back to me. Said the top wont be in stock now before Xmas and have issued a refund. Hopefully I can pick up one on Saturday but total joke that they took the order saying it was in stock, it kept saying in stock on the website for days after, and have only just admitted they can't deliver a week later and only when I queried it.

If you are waiting for a kids xmas pressie being delivered from ccfc I would be checking with them now as well just in case.

Seemingly there is a disconnect between the website stock levels and actual stock levels which needs to be addressed

Major problem.

I've had items cancelled, for being out of stock, when they had the major discount on Black Friday.

Yet they are 'selling' the 'out of stock' items on their website today... at full price.

Would this be classed as an allowed genuine error or misrepresentation???

Delivered this morning. Maybe the 100 members of staff just didn’t want to properly stock the shop floor.

Give them a break.

The club shop and online store are 2 separate things.

The shop can only hold a certain amount of stock, therefore sometimes we just have to buy online.

‘Give them a break’ lol, follow the thread.

It’s quite obviously tongue in cheek.

Anytime I’m at an event at the Arena I can’t help but nip into the shop before or after.

I was there last week and I was disappointed a lot of the Christmas jumpers had either gone or only had limited sizes.

I found the sizing point to be an issue throughout the shop, most things I looked at seemed to be missing M and L, which I get are likely the most popular sizes.

Shame though, as most of the stuff isn’t exactly cheap so they’re losing sales due to stock.

I mean I still ended up buying a jacket and a retro shirt, so I guess they aren’t losing out that much!

Staff are never the friendliest in my experience either unfortunately.

The 50th anniversary merch pricing is a bit of a joke. I might pay it if I was convinced it would be good quality, but sadly most of our stuff tends not to be.

Wasn't the Admiral shirt already in the retro range for like £40/50?
