Coventry City’s Club Shop and Ticket Office at the Coventry Building Society Arena will be affected by the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

Shame really, would think we could take advantage of the additional football and try and get people buying shirts.

Get Sky Blue Sam dressed up for a day as well to get them in the shop.

I would guess it is part of the commercial stuff from Common wealth games. The club should be compensated for the closure. But that would require the stadium owner having money.

That would explain why the sign outside was covered over when I was there on Saturday.

Maybe they can take one of those mobile stalls they have on matchday by Cathedral Lanes?

This seems a pretty strange decision to me. Would love to know the criteria for it as it seems to be denying a city based business from operating, which I thought was the opposite of the purpose of hosting such an event. Are the hotel and casino also going to shut down?

Good idea. Similar to what was at St Andrews (although not sure if that was Birminghams)

Was down the shop today buying the new club shirt. I noticed they've painted the subway steps bright colours, and got rid of the graffiti off the walls. I liked the Cov City graffiti that was there, but obviously they didn't !
